  1. The real problem with this is Hendry has constantly relied on Wood and not gone out and gotten insurance. And the insurance he did get, he relied on him being ready by May. If Hendry would not rely on Wood in any capacity, I have no problem bringing him back for any role.
  2. Yeah, b/c he doesn't want to be accused of screwing them over to help the White Sox. I don't know what you mean. He won't throw him because he's a rookie. Ozzie will probably stick with the vets. Ozzie in the Sun-Times this morning: Gotcha. He really did put himself in that position though with all the comments he's made. Well this is why he needs to shut up and why he'll never be a succesful manager. Here's the link to the rest of the article BTW: http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-ssep10.html
  3. Yesterdays game is going to give Glendon another 10 starts or so. At least 9 of which he will suck mightily. And that 1 decent start will earn him at least 5 more.
  4. We'll be ad even w/o the Dust Bag, but at least if we can him, we cut our losses.
  5. My master plan: Can Dusty ASAP. Give Niefi and Rusch their dough and tell them to pack their bags Hire a manager who values walks and OBP. Trade away Walker and Jones for prospects Trade Pierre if you can Sign Zito, Carlos Lee and Soriano this winter Knowing Hendry, none of this will happen, and we will suck in 2007.

  8. Do the Cubs play today? Rational, I have a question- who do you cheer for in the N.L. Central? My point is, how can any White Sox fan act incredulous when Cub fans cheer for someone other than the Sox in the A.L. Central? I mean, you do know Cubs fans and Sox fans generally dislike the other team, right? The Cubs play the Brewers, by the way. Who you pullin' for? :D The Red Sox are my 2nd-favorite AL team. My favorite AL team is anyone playing and/or making havoc for the White Sox. Right now, that would be the Tigers, Twins, and Indians
  9. His mouth and duct tape are a perfect match. DJ as well. Same can be said for Mike North
  10. Cross him off the list. Yankees and Red Sox looking for his services, Boras his agent. Forget it. Yankees-Red Sox bidding war.
  11. Well he went 5 and only gave up 2 runs. Bet this "earns" him another month in the rotation.
  12. That would be me. :) Where do they play? Jacques is tied up for another year, so unless we trade him, are we going to deal with the disaster that is Soriano at second base? The master plan: Trade away Jones while you can. OF of Murton in LF, Pie in CF, and Lee in RF (he can play RF, it's just that his corner mates in Chicago and Milwaukee [Ordonez, Favre's twin] have better arms)
  13. Just fire the guy, and take away his unproductive veterens so he is forced to play the kids.
  14. ALL RIGHT!!!! Tigers up 3!!! Let's go Red Sox today, and I hope the Tigers win again!!!!!
  15. The Hawk is a horrible broadcaster. I can't believe you just said that.
  16. I like that idea. But the Cubs staff is too stupid.
  17. Zito, Soriano, AND Carlos Lee. That's what we need.
  18. Update: Tigers 2 up on the White Sox LET'S GO TIGERS!!!
  19. When Lee went down, Dusty should've built a lineup that was built more to be a scrap team like the 2003 Marlins, where there wasn't any MAJOR power aside from Lowell and Lee. He should've moved Walker to 1B, and put Hairston at 2B, instead of Niefi. He should've gone Pierre-Cedeno 1-2. He said Ramirez would need to carry the team. How about putting him at #3?? Barrett should've hit in the 4-hole, Murton at 5, Walker at 6, Jones at 7 (at the time, I was calling for his head), and Hairston at 8. It should've been: Pierre Cedeno Ramirez Barrett Murton Walker Jones Hairston
  20. Yeah, but when Hendry signed him, he did it with the intent of Miller being ready by Mid-May. That's why he didn't include an option the way he did w/ Dempster and Williamson.
