    The Red Sox are my favorite AL team, and I am spending more time supporting Red Sox Nation. So you've been rooting for the White Sox to beat the Yankees this weekend? I have to. The Red Sox will pull thru and win the division.

    That's not true at all. If the Sox are stupid enough to trade a SP that's anywhere near decent for a middle reliever, than we should be happy to oblige them, whether it's getting the SP or a top C prospect like Kotteras in return. I think they feel they can sacrafice a starter b/c they want to open a spot for B-Mac in 2007, and you only need 4 starters for the playoffs. And Vazquez and Garcia are just benificiares of the White Sox high-powered offense. If they were on the Cubs, we'd be calling for their heads. I wouldn't want to give them bullpen help for a Garcia/Vazquez Yet they are still Starting Pitchers that don't completely suck, which means it is royally stupid to only command a middle reliever(someone who couldn't cut it as a SP) in return. And no one cares how it impacts the White Sox situation with McCarthy. They'd be sucking majorly on the Cubs. Don't be fooled by their records. They are benificiaries of the high-powered offense. Garcia has a 4.91 ERA, Garland a 5.37, and Vazquez a 5.07. Compare that to Big Z who has a 3.24 ERA. We'd be calling for their heads if they were on the Cubs.

    Yes. As if 1969, 1984, 1989, 2003 were any easier to take than the ball going thru Buckner's legs?? IMO that was the worst, b/c the Red Sox were 1 strike away.

    Bring a sign asking about baseclogging. In addition to my stop playing neifi sign, on the other side, i wrote "Can Dusty explain how walks clog the bases but singles don't!!??" Or if you can blow up my sig(s) to make a poster, that would work too.

    You make a valid point but I think Zito's going to get at least $12 mil a year on his deal and could be up to $15 mil a year. His agent is Boras now and the Yankees and Red Sox will be going after him. Forget it.

I'm not exactly the only one that thinks it's stupid that CubsBullsBears seems to care more about the White Sox and Cardinals losing than the Cubs winning and bashes those two teams every single chance he gets. That's what I was responding to. Would you like me to change my post so it says (sans all caps of course) "Very few people care"? Would that make you feel better? How about this: why don't you criticize everybody whose point of view disagrees with what the topic is dealing with. Because the last time I checked you didn't do that. Until you do that, don't criticize me. With the Cubs losing, I have nothing better to do than root against the White Sox and Cardinals. If the Cubs were winning, I would sound less anti-Cardinals and White Sox.

    Rusch will get it over him. With the paper's comments and Hendry's tonight, my guess would be that Hill will take his spot in the rotation if Prior goes on the DL. And he'll get bombed his 1st start, sent back to AAA, and Rusch will take his spot, b/c he "earned it."
