  1. Any trade with the Dodgers should involve breaking Furcal's wrist :D :P
  2. Only trade Walker if we can get Soriano this winter.
  3. I say the Tribe were a better team than Houston and would've made the playoffs if not for Buerhle's attempted murder of Travis Hafner.
  4. I doubt it. Everyone else is wrong but the White Sox when it comes to pretty much anything baseball-related. Thank you my friend. This is why the White Sox organization and their fans are rude, dumb, and obnoxious, and why I want to punch them in the face.
  5. When was the last time the NL won the ASG??
  6. Thats what I was thinking. Same here. Me 3.
  7. Or you could just make it easier and just have Nomar play 1B, leave Walker at 2B and put Hairston in RF. After all, Nomar is playing 1B for the Dodgers right now and Walker's natural position is 2B. No I meant that we sign him over the winter with the intent of playing RF. When Lee breaks his wrist, move Walker to 1B, and only move Hairston to RF and Nomar to 2B, b/c Hairston has better OF defense.
  8. Niefi is not a platoon guy either. His purpose is to give a guy a day off here and there, and to provide late-innings defense.
  9. I hope the Hawk shuts up now after his bitching in 2004 about 8 Yankees going to the mid-summer classic.
  10. You don't really think the NL has a chance....do you? Do you really think Ben Wallace is going to bring our Bulls a championship? In a couple years, yes As for the ASG, who cares, b/c the AL always wins.
  11. Niefi DFA'd, b/c he's got a contract thru 2007. Just give him his dough. Dusty we just can him at the end of the year
  12. Sign him to play OF. Don't sign Jones. When Lee breaks his wrist: Move Walker to 1B, put Hairston in RF, and have Nomar play 2B
  13. I hope that the White Sox don't make the World Series this year so whoever is the AL manager for the 2007 game makes it a point not to take any White Sox unless they need a rep. If any White Sox get hurt during the game, I will be ROTFLMAO.
  14. Mike Sirotka. He had some good years with the White Sox, then was traded to Toronto. He immediately came up with shoulder problems, and Toronto asked for compensation or to void the trade (I don't remember which), claiming that he was damaged goods at the time of the trade. I think they lost that grievance. He signed a minor league deal with the Cubs, and I believe may have pitched some at Iowa, but he never pitched for the Cubs at the major league level. Unlike Miller, I think he was signed to a minor league contract.Yeah, he never got an MLB deal. The reason Toronto lost the grievence is b/c the exam for the trade to go thru he passed. An exam a month later found the tear, therefore, MLB said the trade stands.
  15. AJ wins the final man vote AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Yeah, that's how I see it too. We had some very questionable pitchers in the rotation coming into 2006 and Hendry's awesome insurance policy was Wade Freakin Miller. That's not a low risk strategy, regardless of the money involved. Excatly. It would be low risk insurance if you get him for 1M, but you also get some other guys who WILL be healthy in April.
  17. At the moment (Murton aside), those two motivations would unfortunately conflict. I'd still play the kids, but our kids aren't any more selective than the veterans. How about "play the kids and teach them how to take walks." (assuming that's a skill that can be taught) Well even when Dusty has had goodd veterens, we've been a wild swinging team (2003, 2004)
  18. How about just get someone who will play the kids and value walks and OBP??
  19. How many players did Ozzie Guillen select? How many were White Sox? He had 7 picks. 4 of them, he had to use to rep every team. After that, he had 3 picks for whoever, and he took his guys. Add Maggs and its 3 of 4. Small sample size, but its not out of bounds to assume he would screw Mauer to make room for AJ given the chance. Especally since he screwed Liriano AND Schill to make room for Buehrle. And b/c he repeatedly said he would take as many of his guys as he could.
  20. Lance Broadway and Brandon McCarthy and I'd gladly do it. OML... I'd trade Maddux to the Sox for either of the above. Actually, I'd give them Maddux, Pierre and Williamson for McCarthy. We're not going anywhere and McCarthy slides nicely into the rotation for the next few years. How about Mad Dog Pierre and Willamson for both of them, and then send McCarthy to AAA. I don't want the Cubs staff messing with him.

  22. DARN IT JIM!!! Just clean house!!! And hire a manager who will play the kids
