That's ridiculous. If Padilla hits anybody he will be ejected and that will probably be the end of that. Unless of course there's a brawl or something in which case it would be wildly amusing to see someone punch Buehrle in the face. Ozzie said himself: If Padilla doesn't do anything then he isn't going to do anything. I dont' get what the big deal is. The fact that he said if Padilla hits a batter, he will deliberatly hit a Texas batter. Seriously, what do you not understand? If Padilla hits a White Sox batter intentionally, for the third time this year mind you, the White Sox will retaliate. This is called stating the obvious. If a pitcher repeatedly beans the same team, any manager in all of baseball would retaliate. The fact that Ozzie is throwing this out there. You're going to retaliate, fine. But don't announce it to the whole world. Geez. You'd think after the Mariotti episode, he'd shut up. This is absolutely ridiculous. You would laud any other manager that stuck up for his players like that. Ozzie says some awful, over the top things, but he's just stating fact. In your opinion, who's wrong here, Padilla or Ozzie? Both. Ozzie wants to retailiate, fine. But don't go around telling everyone. You're just adding fuel to the fire. Maybe Buck will be motivated by the comments and Padilla will hit someone just to challenge Ozzie. Now Ozzie can't win, say Padilla hits someone.
