    What about Padilla? It wasn't intentional. It's a collection of things. Saying in the papers he was going to do it, and being pissed that Garland did not carry out orders to bean someone, it shows me he had intentions of hitting a batter, and that is unaccepatble.

    The game is on CSN. Make a sign asking Can we Stop playing Neifi!!?? And try to get it on TV. I tried getting that on TV last week, they wouldn't put it.

    Patterson during the majority of his time in Chicago. Except Pierre isn't striking out as much, which is why his OBP is higher, b/c he can use speed to beat out hits when he puts it in play. Other than that, he's Patterson w/o the power and cannonball arm.

    This not going to be the final piece to win them another World Series. Getting a Jason Schmidt type pitcher would be the final piece. And why are they getting rid of one of their better bullpen guys?

    Hey, this thread was meant for Sox haters. It was meant to track the Sox in relation to their competition. It was not meant to debate me hating the Sox or not.

    I still think they need to change that grinder ball rule that says never underestimate the power of power. Keep that, and then add: Power has the power to destroy what the grinder ball was built on: The power of no power.

    Soriano for McCarthy would decimate their bullpen. He's their long guy and one of the only reliable relievers they have. Tribune was suggesting that the Sox will get Soriano and play the triangle defense game so the Twins and Tigers don't get him.

    That's as ignorant a comment as I have read in some time. What evidence do you have to support that conclusory and naked statement? Is this the same Reinsdorf who gave Michael $35 million for one year's work in 97'-98'? The same guy who gave Jay Williams a huge buyout worth millions after he nearly killed himself on a motorcycle after his rookie year? The guy who just gave Wallace tens of millions of dollars? He lowballed Pippen the entire time. He lowballed Horace Grant, which is why he left when he did. He said he now regrets having given Jordan 33M to play the 97-98 season. He ordered the breakup, b/c he didn't want to pay Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kerr, Longley, Buchelor, etc. He left Krause fire Jackson and he hasn't said he regrets it, the way he has about letting Hawk fire LaRussa. He never did anything when Krause said this to Jackson regarding a deal past 97-98: "I don't care if you go 82-and-0, you're f---ing gone." The only reason Pippen didn't leave despite being lowballed the entire time is b/c he had a great friendship w/ Jordan. We will wait and see what he does w/ Chapu, Deng, and Gordon next summer when they are due for extensions, and Captain Kirk this summer.

    Uribe is an every-day player. And his RBI totals are so high, b/c he plays on a high-powered offensive team.

    How about getting a lead-off hitter who can hit in April and May?? If Pierre can't I want him out. He sucks on defense and his arm is a noodle.
