Not as bad as their offseason has been. They'll be quite average this season.

Mbah a Moute's play has been huge for UCLA so far. They'll need him, too, considering both Keefe and Aboya have two fouls and they could be running short on big guys in the 2nd half.

The officials have absolutely no consistency in this game. They're missing some really obvious fouls, calling some the wrong way, and making phantom calls on others. They also seem not to want to call any traveling violations. You have no idea how they're going to call things each trip down the floor.

There's also a difference between clutch and anti-clutch. The supposed existence of anti-clutch does not prove the existence of clutch. And I'm not getting involved. -
The refs aren't helping UCLA right now. They turned an obvious kick ball against Xavier into a clear path foul against UCLA.

If clutch didn't exist, there wouldn't be an entire league dedicated to it. You can't just discount the clutch debate. At least not as long as it has a major impact in personnel decisions and team philosophy (such as not having a philosophy and simply waiting for the clutch hits to come). If it only existed in the media, then it should definitely be ignored. -

The last 5 minutes of the Man U/Aston Villa game has been pretty darn good. In a complete downpour, there have been 3 missed amazing scoring chances followed by another goal for Rooney.

Looks like there are good UD Box infield (covered in case of rain) seats and singles behind home plate in 123. Hopefully they release tickets for big games later this year.

It's probably worth more than your tourney bracket. And to think I tried so hard to keep it from getting wet as I was walking home from Barnes and Noble in the rain. I wonder how things would have turned out without that broken foot. -

You're probably still recovering from that beatdown in the dome from a few days ago. Non-revenue sports have improved remarkably under Mark Murphy over the last few years. Basically every program this winter and spring aside from the two basketball teams and the baseball team did very well, but the challenge for our new AD will be fundraising. He did a great job with that at NIU and while I love Welsh-Ryan Arena, we still desperately need other facility upgrades for our basketball program. The locker room was recently renovated, but the rest of their facilities are horrible. Putting some money into the program should help with recruiting, not just picking the right coach next season.

It should technically be called fielding and not defense, as defense is the combined effort of pitching and fielding (mostly pitching) to prevent runs from scoring.
