  1. Absolutely Jay Bruce. Enrique Cruz is a very well rounded third baseman and is pretty fun to watch. I saw them play about a month ago and was very impressed by Bruce, Cruz, and their starting catcher who I can't place a name on.
  2. I didn't realize Oswalts K numbers were down that much this year.
  3. If it would go through, I think i would take that deal.
  4. Jesus Sori is like 9 feet in the air! Thanks a bunch, what a great pic!
  5. hahaha oh i got a good laugh out of that. Thank you.
  6. I've seen Greensboro play several times, they don't have the best pitchers in the world. I know i know, who cares, we got rid of Jones! Just looking forward to seeing which pitcher we pick up.
  7. Didn't expect this! Love it, this is great news. Billy is a great guy, look forward to seeing him get his chance with the big league team much earlier than anyone expected!
  8. I'm hoping for a bowl game for my illini. It doesn't help that we have what is considered to be the 17th toughest schedule in all of NCAA football... At least more than two wins would be nice.
  9. Running out with the American Flag after 9/11. Steroids or not, Sammy has been very good for the game of baseball. That moment will stick with me forever.
  10. Wow, thats quite an improvement. Based on his numbers, its only a matter of time before he starts hitting for a higher average. Thanks for the heads up. PS I'm happy the rumors of him being involved in the Barrett trade were just that, rumors.
  11. yes I was thinking about that the other day, and I couldn't think of anyone else that it could be. I would loooooove it if Sammy was the comeback player of the year. He deserves it.
  12. Absolutely not. You don't trade DLee when you are in a division like we are in. We can still comeback and win this division, and DLee is a huge part of us doing that.
  13. Sammy for comeback player of the year?
  14. Yesssss Holi! Gotta love the holli! Sorry for asking a question i should already know, but was it last nights game that was rained out, or was it a game earlier in the season? I'm just too lazy too look it up :D
  15. Haha, i guess thats good news...someone still thinks he has talent.
  16. What does that mean for the Cubs? They will suck for 99 more years. Anyone actually able to confirm that all this would affect the sale of the Cubs? I don't know if this is true or not, but it may be because the Cubs are one of the few entities in the Tribune organization that is currently making money off their investment? Just a guess.
  17. Hopefully the right thing.
  18. Who needs planning when you have a fly by the seat of your pants GM like Jimbo Hendry!!?1!1
  19. http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/stats/player.php?id=501965 Kyler Burke's stats...lets hope its not for him..
  20. Konerko has to be the slowest man in baseball, if not the world. Don't forget about me!!!1!
  21. I don't know, Prince is deceptively fast for his size. Still, something had to happen.
  22. Ahhhhh Rick Roll'd again!! :x
  23. All four of the "Four Aces" drafted by the A's in the early 90's. Van Poppel Dressendorfer Peters and some dude with a Z for a last name None of them amounted to anything really, I think Van Poppel was the only one to even make the league, but i'm not quite sure about that.
  24. Nooot a problem! Augusta's team is full of decent prospects. They have three pitching prospects who are pretty good. I see Henry Sosa being a spot reliever one day, same as Adam Cowart. The other prospect is Clayton Tanner, he's a 19 year old lefty with plus stuff. The Giants will be slow to promote him, he will be with the GreenJackets for the rest of the year continuing to work on his weaknesses. Right now he throws a LOT of changeups trying to improve on his approach against righties. I see him projecting to be a #3-#5 starter in the league one day.
