    Buehrle isn't unlikable. He's one of the few I like on the Sox. If you were to create a pitcher, Mark Buehrle would have most of the qualities desired: left-handed; smooth delivery; quick-worker; great control; doesn't walk batters; great pickoff move that gets outs and prevents many baserunners from even attempting to steal; great defense; a reliable horse who logs lots of innings; pitches efficiently, going deep into games while minimizing his pitch count; and even saves a game in the World Series on short rest. Buerhle also has a penchant for saying ridiculously stupid things. He's accused Maddux and the entire Texas Rangers franchise of cheating. He's a moron. Usually when someone talks about someone being "Likeable" they talk about their actions off the field, or maybe actions unrelated to the game. (I.E. no one likes the stupid celebrations Neifi makes when he makes a catch or gets a hit, thus, unlikeable)

    And that's why I don't think I'm even going to watch this game. Its soft tossing mediocre lefties that we can't hit. The good lefties we dont have as many problems with.... I hope you're right. I would like nothing more than to see the Cubs rough up Who Is Mark Buehrle tomorrow. Especially with Dumb and Dumber announcing. Joe Crede for MVP! :roll:

    I'm going to put down a preemptive "Bad Managerial Move by Dusty Baker" If Neifi Perez is in the starting lineup, then Dusty deserves to be fired. (what am I saying, he deserves to be fired anyway :lol: ) I don't care if we don't have another player that can play 3rd base. FIND SOMEONE

    Not only is bunting a piss-poor strategy, the Cubs are really BAD AT IT. Its really incredible how they just keep banging their head against a brick wall, hoping the next time they throw their head forward the wall will turn into Jello.

    Pierre was at his pathetic worst That weak grounder to the pitcher to set up a double play and absolutely kill a rally was Pierre at his best. I was really hoping for a bunt in that situation. :cry:

    That brings a tear to my eye. We haven't seen that since the sweep of the Cardinals when our hopes were yet to be dashed, and Derrek Lee sat gloriously atop first base. Actually I put that picture up for the Marlins game that we lost as well because there was a sweep possibility. Missed it because I was at the game. And that game uber sucked. In fact I'm pretty sure that was right around the time when the team started slipping, and I can only blame myself and my friends for jinxing them.

    I'd really love to keep him, he's got tons of potential, and while he'll never be Jordan, he may yet be a superstar. I really love how there is nodody on the Bulls that I dislike. They are all swell guys.

    Considering Hinrich is pretty much the face of the franchise, I think I'd lean towards him. I really would love to see Deng, Gordon and Nocioni stick around as well. In that order.

    He's doing alright. Did you see that barehanded play he made in left field to totally save a game? Yea...I kinda wish defense actually mattered in fantasy. Okay BigSlim. Since when was: Season Total 123 18 34 4 0 10 28 23 30 0 0 .276 .392 .553 .945 Bad? OBP, Slugging, Homers, Steals and Runs are the only things that count for hitters in our league. (Strange, but our Commish really likes Moneyball and refuses to use common stats like RBI's and Batting Average, I prefer it this way anyway) He's more than suitable as a 3rd outfielder.

    Why does Baker (and Hendry) insist on attributing everything to luck? It's not luck. It's called pitch recognition. Are the same guys at the top of the league every year in OBP and/or BA because of luck? No. Because whenever Baker walked in his day, it was luck. It doesn't seem like it: MLB Totals: 19 years 2039 7117 964 1981 320 23 242 1013 137 73 762 926 30 52 27 85 157 .278 .347 .432 779 His career OBP was 69 points higher than his batting average. I somehow doubt this was luck...still... Why does he have such a stupid philosophy, i just don't get it.

    Arenas isn't much bigger, and I think Gordon's every bit as athletic as he is. If you think that's all Gordon does, I see little value discussing it further. Thats not all I think he does, but it isn't hard to find someone that can effectively duplicate his point totals...however he has the potential to be so much better. But he really doesn't have the same game as Arenas. Theres no way I could see him evolve and turn into that kind of player...because that just isn't his game.

    My friend has his cell phone set so that whenever he gets a call from his work it goes: "I think in a given week I do about 15 minutes of real actual work" OH man.

    I think that's a correct gut even though I hope you are wrong. I mean I hope they both come back healthy, but with Prior slated to return first he will get more playing time. Trick question/statement really, self-fulfilling prophecy: Derrek Lee is a position player and will have more playing time anyway
