  1. They basically need to win every series from now to the end of the season. I'd almost enjoy seeing the Cubs go on a tear like that, unfortunately I'd immediately regret it as Dusty would be lauded as a saviour. Theres no way the talent on this team could pull that kind of run out anyway, so no worries.
  2. DID YOU SEE THAT RADAR GUN! OH BOY DOES HE PITCH FAST
  3. Incredibly, Florida might be the second best team in the NL East. (with a ridiculous 14 million dollar pay roll) Amazing the ineptitude of some franchises. (including our own)
  4. You are my new favorite person.
  5. I'd rather he pitch like Zambrano than Maddux at this point.
  6. READ THIS: ANDERSON HAS A HIGHER ON BASE PERCENTAGE THAN JUAN URIBE WHO CARES ABOUT HIS 177 AVERAGE, HE'S HITTING BETTER THAN URIBE.
  7. Jeff Francoeur may be young, but he's also really bad and almost impossible to fix. (HE HATES WALKING) And Bobby Cox likes him, so he'll be their Neifi for a while.
  8. seconded Lee already has 4 walks since yesterday. That's atleast a weeks worth of walks for everyone else on the Cubs. The thing is, I don't think anyone is afraid of Lee up to this point. Everyone is perfectly willing to pitch to Aramis instead knowing his struggles. CLOGGED BASES
  9. He takes a lot of flak, but he has a higher OBP than Uribe. Which is hilarious.
  10. I see a single to Pierre, a pop single to Jones and a single to Cedeno. What doesn't he have, because it looks like they are just putting them where they ain't. Yea, definitely.
  11. He was injured and aw crap marshall does not have it today.
  12. I have to say, this lineup is actually decently good. Despite the fact Dusty stubbornly trots out Pierre at lead off every freaking game without fail, this should create some runs.
  13. All-stars from the White Sox that SHOULD be on the roster? Contreras, Buehrle, Jenks, Konerko, Thome, Dye... Thats it I think. If Mauer doesn't make it (HE'S BATTING .380 SOMETHING JESUS CHRIST) it would be a goddarn travesty.
  14. I was being born in 1988
  15. Mark... So does this make it inevitable that TJ's days are numbered? aye I think everyone is forgetting how great it is that Chris Thompson was cut. I mean, the guy is terrible.

Fair enough. I think Paxson's keeping and using the pick. If the Raptors choose Bargnani like most prognosticators believe, all signs point to the Bulls picking either Thomas or Aldridge. But it could all be a mirage as you suggest. I hope its Aldridge, if it shakes down as you are predicting. As long as we're quoting Chad's opinions: Ugh. I know you draft the best player available, and not for need, but c'mon... Thomas doesn't help this team immediately, or maybe at all, Aldridge helps immediately.
  17. Or neither. Go Blue Jays!
  18. This is the correct answer.
  19. Oakland Athletics They are the exact opposite of the Cubs, and I love the way they (mostly Billy Beane) manage their teams.

He can't catch the ball. Marion can. I like that in a basketball player.
  21. This is wonderful news. I can finally bench the bastard.
  22. The mets, yankees, red sox, toronto, detroit division needs to send detroit for baltimore. Imagine that division, christ the race would be interesting.
  23. The other Fecal Matter League teams are also doing pretty darn well, The Nationals and the Marlins are teasing with .500 and mediocrity. Soon its just gonna be the Cubs and the Royals.
