  1. I hail from cincinatti, and the place is pratically still segregated. Ohio in general is pretty bad. except for THE ohio state university
  2. Maybe you should MSPaint Ken Griffey's shot. It would be appropriate.
  3. It was clearly my fault. I was on my way to a party, and my Sox-fan-friend burst in, and his evil Sox-Jinx-Powers ruined the whole thing. Literally the second he came through the door, the base hit occurred. LAME.
  4. I'd love to see him back, but somehow the organization has a vendetta against him. Its really puzzling.
  5. 84 at the end of 6 likely no to make it all 9, if he does, it'll be 120 pitch game NO way he comes out with a no-hitter because of pitch count unless it's 130+. Even then it's not a gimme. Didn't Kerry Wood get into the 140's in 2003? I know he pitched in the 130's before. Hate to say anything, but theres no shame in a combined no-hitter. I'd love to see one on the North Side This will be the jinx, btw.
  6. Booooo We need to move Murton up the lineup, he hits with more confidence and patience there. At this point, he needs to be 7 or 8 or leadoff. Anywhere else and he's too much of a double play risk until he gets his swing/eye back. I know that's saying a lot on THIS team, but the difference is I'm confident Murton will break back out. You can "hide" his lack of slugging in the leadoff spot.
  7. And, to boot, this might be their swan song. The team isn't getting any younger, and its always hard to keep players together, satisfied and happy. Wallace might leave...and you can only keep playing a certain brand of basketball before someone figures you out.
  8. I like Dugout chats because they seem to pay attention to the same pop culture stuff me and my friends love. (Points to Leroy Jenkins joke, innumerable jokes with names, Ken Griffey as the bad guy from Unbreakable, etc.) Which one has the Leroy Jenkins joke?? There is one where Jim Thome is Leroy Jenkins, and the rest of teh Sox crew represent the geeks from the video. It was a classic JIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM THOME And the ratio of good-to-bad strips increases if either Farnsworth or Thome is in an episode. They are just fantastic.

  12. Still 11 games back from .500, which is just incredibly depressing. If we can take 3 outta 4 from the 'Stros, and take care of the Reds, that would ease my aching heart. Too bad I know it wont happen.
  13. Agreed. Maddux hasn't had the bullpen cost him anything this year. When he's won, he deserved to. When he's lost, he deserved to. Except when our wonderful closer gave up a 3 run homer to Piazza to lose the game. But yeah, .500 is about where Maddux has been this year. Up and down, up and down.
  14. Check the corner: "How Good Are The Pistons?" LOL Apparently not good enough to win the Conference Championship. SI Cursed...
  15. I guess I would rather have a clean player (maybe, I hope) like Pujols have it than Bonds.
  16. Fixed. Not a Mav's fan, but less of a Heat fan. Heres to seeing them be embarrassed and swept.
  17. 6-2. Never give the Cards more credit than they deserve. Leave that to Tim McCarver They were 10-6 against them last year. They always seem to be able to beat teams they have no reason to be in against...and get swept by the likes of the Pirates, Reds, Nationals and Marlins
  18. Albert Pujols is the Steve Smith for the Cardinals without him they are offense-less. Time for a sweep, and a 10 game winning streak on the road... To pull to .500 :?
  19. Seriously, does he even pay attention? Gah, this brings back memories of Moneyball when Hatteberg went 0-3 with 2 lineouts and they congratulated him on some great plate appearances. These guys are like the complete inverse of that. BTW, if anyone cares, prom was probably more fun than watching this game.
  20. Your a Cubs fan now? Yay! :D A convert! A convert! Praise be to Jebus! Hah why on earth would I do a thing like that? I like your little paint job of the famous Pujols rocket. Also- ARGH NEIFI IN THE 2HOLE AGAIN
  21. Lovie's a tough nut. I dig it. Well, maybe Joe can supplant Hillenmeyer, but no way is Lovie that stupid to sit one of the top 3 OLBs in the game because he missed a few days of mini-camp. He's just showing them that no one is indispensable. Except Brian Urlacher.
  22. Get better soon. :(
  23. Thats one helluva lineup if you can put it together.
  24. How many people strike out 4 times? I bet some have never done it in their career.
