  1. It's hard to over-rate when you have the most yardage from scrimmage by a RB, most rushing yards, and most rushing TD's. Saying Smith is over-rated would be the same as saying Hank Aaron is over-rated. You can do it, but it's pretty ridiculous. Hank Aaron is overrated. He had incredible longevity and consistency, but he never had ridiculous years like Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, etc. had. I don't think he ever had more than ~45 homers in a season, not saying thats not great, but he isn't the best home run hitter of all time. Just for some comparison, Aaron had 40 more homers than Babe Ruth in 4,000 more at bats. BTW, just to add to the discussion, Payton is the best, end of discussion. C'mon, Emmitt Smith isn't better, don't be ridiculous.
  2. I had trouble following it. I didn't even understand what he was talking about. I question his command of the English language.
  3. I called this back on Jun-29. That Pierre will have a very good second half once dlee was back. He let his injury get to his head (IE: slumps when he doesn't have as many good hitters around him, because he tries too hard and slumps). He was doing bad before DLee got hurt.
  4. But we needed to dump Corey's salary in order to resign Neifi... Because Neifi saved us in 2005... ...from a .500 record.
  5. Joe Crede is a bad example because, well, he's a bad baseball player. And the Sox have a better 3b in the minors to boot.
  6. I detect sarcasm. As I stated, I'm not going to debate Notre Dame all the time. I have my point of view and that's not going to be changed anytime soon. Who is your team Slugger? We can discuss them instead? Notre Dame? More like Notre Shame! (heckling) Anyway, who's the team to beat in the SEC now?
  7. Wait We are gonna get both the Wallaces? This is gonna get interseting fast. EDIT: I just realized I pluralized something with an apostrophe, I feel so stupid.
  8. I have very mixed feelings of this. Our frontcourt is going to have very little offense. Imagine if we trotted out a lineup of Hinrich- Gordon - Wallace (PF) - Chandler -Thomas Ugh. Or imagine if we trotted out a lineup of Hinrich, Gordon, Deng, Nocioni, Wallace. SWEET Then we are paying a lot of money for a lineup that has no one taller than 6'9'' What do we do with Chandler?

  10. My GAWD. They've got the CPatt bunting now too? Oh my God man this entire coaching staff has got to GO. Now! Wow. Just what we needed, more salt in our wounds. After the CPatt trade went down some friends of mine who are Cardinal fans told me CPatt would flourish away from the Cubs - not probably, but would. They said they never saw a more classic example of a guy who needed a change of scenery. I vehemently disagreed ("he seems to be uncoachable", "no plate discipline whatsoever", "waste of natural talent", etc.) And now I'm sort of eating crow. He still has no plate discipline, he'll be hitting .270 with an OBP of .300 by the end of the year.
  11. Go Illinois! I'll be attending in the fall....not that my presence there will give them any hope. I'm also an Ohio State fan, but everyone hates them. Hopefully the loss of the back 7 wont hurt them too much...but it will, and they will start off hot and somehow lose to Indiana or something, destroying their chances for the Fiesta Bowl.
  12. POOOOOOOOOOR-TUUUUUUUUU-GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL
  13. The NFL is 1000000000x more entertaining than the NBA, its not even funny. I can't wait for Bears camp.
  14. Why is that bad? I'd like to see him hit for the cycle too. Because I should have been rooting for a homerun and the lead. It'll be less disappointing when the Sox beat us in the 9th by breaking the tie, rather than beat us in the 9th while down a run. I'm still pissed off that the Sox didn't score last inning. I must be freaking clairvoyant or something jesus christ how did i see this happening? Worst part: Vazquez didn't get a victory. I'm so pissed right now. Its the exact worst scenario for me. I hate you baseball gods.
  15. Who somehow garners more respect from his peers.
  16. Right after we ruin Pie and turn him into Patterson, and then load him off for absolutely nothing.
  17. I love how the one move Hendry made this past year that was most criticized is the one that is paying the most dividends. Life, how I hate you sometimes.

  20. Nooooooooooo only a no decision for Vazquez lame. whats happened to him, he was a world beater earlier in the year, now he gives up 5 runs to the CUBS
  21. Go Sox! They need to score in this inning to give Vazquez a chance for a victory. C'mon Cubs, lose early, don't lose late.
  22. I'm super pissed off now, the Cubs aren't losing like they are supposed to, and Javier Vazquez is on my fantasy team. They can't even lose when they need to. What a bunch of failures, I know whats going to happen, the Sox will rally to tie, and the Cubs will lose in the 9th inning giving Javier a no decision. I hate life.
  23. Not archaic enough. Lets go back to where there were no "Championship Series'" at all, and just have the pennant winners duke it out in a 9 game World Series.
