    Plenty of pitchers have gone the first half of seasons incredibly hot and still been terrible when all is said and done. I'm happy that Marquis has given us a fantastic start to the season, in fact, I wouldn't have thought he'd give us 7 starts this good all year, but again, lets not get our hopes up. We always get let down. :cry: 11 Baserunners and only 1 run, :?

    it's his equivalent of Bonds' elbow armor. The leagues should really require valid medical reasons for wearing extraneous stuff on their body How is it equivalent to Bonds' elbow pad? What advantage does Hamilton get by wearing the mask, aside from peace of mind? It spreads the force of a blow to the nose across his face. Again, he sorta needs to wear it for the rest of his career. I think he meant what advantage besides his health does he get. Like Bonds pad lets him stand right on top of the plate. i didn't know hamilton's nose condition. i thought this was still a holdover from breaking his cheek bone like 7 years ago Don't quote me on it, I'm just pretty sure he broke his nose pretty badly like 2 years ago. From the wikipedia page: " Hamilton is known for wearing a protective face mask while on the basketball court. He wears it regularly after injuring his nose numerous times. "

Yeah, its not a very good analogy. I wish someone just would plunk Barry Bonds in the knee and end his career.

    That sounds like a weird statement to make. We could have 9 fielders that are all really bad, is that good too? Just because one position seems to have a poor fielder doesn't mean we should go all out and field the worst defensive team we can.
