  1. Glad to hear that Okwo is doing well. We're gonna need him soon enough. The news on Leak is interesting. This might be the end of Orton as a Bear.
  2. nevermind, the bulls are gonna lose this game.
  3. If we cut it in half 4 more times we'd only be down half a point.
  4. Bulls can't catch a single break all game, but at least they're fighting. Down to 8, we have a chance in this one.
  5. Why do we go to Guzman after Hill? Shouldn't it be Lilly? Either way, whatever, it'd be nice to see Guzman start after a long layover. Btw, Cubs lose in a non-competitive game. 6-2 on a late Aramabomb to save us from the shutout.
  6. Cubs get the crap kicked out of them, as Rich's otherworldly 233 ERA+ comes back to something more reasonable.
  7. I love you. This is a wonderful page you've made.
  8. Theres no reason Floyd should bat second and Barrett 5th. Barrett, Izturis and DeRosa all look variously lost at the plate. Theres no hope for Izturis ever, but Barrett and DeRosa might need to heal up.
  9. He ripped a line drive to the opposite field, I'll take that as a result of the approach. i won't... his approach is awful. He's been swinging early in every at bat and not coincidentally, he hasn't had productive at bats. He's always had a great approach, and all of a sudden he's turned into a bench player, and not coincidentally he hasn't had many productive at bats. Whats wrong with a hard hit line drive to opposite field? Honestly you are ridiculous.
  10. Its going to be tough for the Cubs to blow this one.
  11. My bad, I told my friend to turn on the game, he's clearly a jinx and he needs to be straightened out. He's never allowed to watch the Cubs again.
  12. Take her to the game. Give Verlander some tips for success, my team needs it.
  13. Get the batter at 0-2.... and then throw 4 straight balls. WtF?
  14. I can't believe how much our hitters helped an ailing pitcher that last inning. His stuff was all over the place, but damnit, we gotta keep hacking. We could have definitely added to our lead there.
  15. Plan for that half inning: Swing at piches in your eyes.
  16. How many pitches has Izturis seen today? Single digits?
  17. Those last two strikes were well below the knees. ANyone else expecting an Austin Kearns homer again here? Actually the first strike was above the nipple line, but he may have swung at that.
  18. Weird at bats for DeRosa. He looked awful in the first at bat, fine in the second one, and then completely screwed up in this one. I wonder if his back is bothering him.
  19. Woooooo I'm still proud of my astounding resemblance to Z.
  20. Oh great, thats wonderful. Guess you don't want the W, Z, you just want to give back everything the offense fought hard for you.
  21. for running on what was probably a missed hit-and-run, and for being called out when he was safe. Intelligent comment. After working a walk in a 8+ pitch AB... and oh by the way, coming into this game he had a 266/341/506 line. I wish all our middle infield/utility players were that "worthless." I'm really happy with the DeRo signing so far. He's versatile (and actually good defensively at multiple positions) and solid offensively. When I made my comment, I was angry with Lou and not DeRosa. We don't need to hit and run, ever.
  22. for running on what was probably a missed hit-and-run, and for being called out when he was safe. Intelligent comment. After working a walk in a 8+ pitch AB... That was a great AB too.
