  1. To be honest, one of his homers was so low that it was practically golfed out. yes, lets make a habit of doing that, we can all be vlad guerrero! I was at that game too
  2. somehow I'm going to rationalize this by blaming Fontenot oh and Patterson, take him out of that lead off spot god damn
  3. Well, we aren't going to score anyway. Lame. Marquis really hasn't hit well the last few years.
  4. Don't expect the Cubs to score runs here
  5. Way to swing at ball four Soto someone give him the patience he once had back
  6. This is good. Make him work, then feast on both a tired Liz and a bad bullpen.
  7. stop it vance, you're going to get all the magic out of it
  8. Edmonds vs. anyone with velocity should be really bad news but if the guy cant hit the strike zone we might get a baserunner
  9. BTW should we surprised that Wellemeyer threw 6 innings of shut out ball against the Tigers? Of course not. Hopefully they can feast on some bullpen now, GO TIGERS
  10. This Adam Jones guy swings and misses a lot
  11. Huff was crushing everything coming out of Marquis' hands THat at bat wasn't going to end nicely.
  12. I hope this isn't a repeat of 2007 Cubs where we face a guy struggling with control and JUST HACK AWAY
  13. you fools, take pitches against this guy, he really sucks
  14. There are no smoke and mirrors here, Theriot is legitimately hitting the ball better than he ever has before.
  15. He's fine but I'd prefer if he not get more at bats than anyone else in the lineup.
  16. Anytime you want to take Patterson out of the lead off spot is cool with me
  17. Gallagher goes Friday. It's a good way to keep his innings number slightly down to move him back a couple days in certain situations like this. He's still very young. It's not great to have him throwing too many innings, and the Cubs may need him to stay in the rotation the rest of the year. I'm hoping those two can keep it rolling the next two days. They really have been pitching well in June. During the game, Pat said Demp fri, Gallagher Sat, Marshall Sun That looks like a bad series. Why? I feel confident in both Demp and Gallagher, and Marshall didn't even pitch that poorly yesterday. I'm fine with it.
