  1. Fluketober. Every October is Fluketober Did you watch the 2006 playoffs? BTW, good job Dempster
  2. He's a bad manager? Never been impressed with Hurdle. I'd hate to manage the Rockies. No matter what you do your pitchers will always suck, and your hitters will crap their pants when the pop ups that they usually expect to see go over the wall at home get caught on the road Of course the park factors are lower recently with the humidor and all, but its still rough
  3. eh whatever I've sorta stopped caring about the other teams in the division with this trade, as long as he's healthy theres absolutely no way we don't make the playoffs * *jinxed them right here
  4. Seriously that was one well hit ball Well now I can't feel like we didn't get to Harang, lets not blow this now please
  5. Wow Cubs hitters are really doing Harang some favors
  6. Harang's pitch count is dusty-proof, theres no way he goes past this inning Too bad Aramis swung at ball 3 or 4 i forgot
  7. Lee-Ramirez- Soto up Somehow none of them wont reach base and we'll score one run
  8. Bleh, that DP doesn't bother me as much as it should
  9. WOOOOOOO I don't completely hate Fontenot when he plays like that
  10. Awful, what a terrible inning that didn't need to be created whatsoever I absolutely abhor beating yourself and not even letting the other team swing the bat
  11. You might have to pull him, this is getting ridiculous
  12. Dempster is all over teh place This isn't good
  13. God I'm so glad I posted this Is like some sort of cosmic justice that Hendry made a great trade.
  14. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! The only player I'd really miss is Gallagher, and he's more than made up by the combination of Gaudin and Harden Jesus, I'm starting to believe
  15. The fact that people are comparing trading for Wolf with the trade for Trachsel last year makes me about 99% sure we're actually going to do it God, Hendry can get that 'blind squirrel' luck sometimes, but the way he thinks about baseball is completely wrong, and I see him responding to the CC Sabathia move with something disastrous. At least we can't miss Gallagher much because he would have been stewing in the Bullpen anyway Sorry for the depressive stuff guys
  16. That's been tried before, and he he didn't look so great We'll always have the memory of him making the Pirate Parrot completely crap his pants
  17. Good for them I guess, we wont have a boring September. (We probably wouldn't have anyway) I'll never hate the Brewers as much as nearly any other team in the division, so if this gets them the wild card, so much the better for them. Just don't lay a finger on my division crown. We'll be sure to have some interesting match ups against C.C. later in the season, would have loved to have him on our team, but we had neither the prospects nor the balls to make a big trade like that. Everyone get ready for Randy Wolf or season 3 of Everybody Hates Steve Trachsel
  18. Really we have a 4 game series against the Brewers in Milwaukee to round out the season? Ugh, theres a very small chance that we'll have the division wrapped up before then after all...
  19. Every franchise that has ever existed in the Majors has had this exact loss, usually multiple times throughout a season. When you play 162 games you will blow some leads in the 9th. It just has to happen. It was devastating, and its a shame it went from such a great feeling with Aramis' homer to this, but thats the way things went. It really really really sucked. Lets get em tomorrow and win the series. :P
  20. Listened to the last 2 innings of this game on the radio during my lunch break. That wasn't a rewarding experience.
  21. And if the Brewers end up losing both Sheets, and potentially CC, then they take a step backwards in development. Not only do they lose a couple of top of the line pitchers, but TOP prospects, and now they would either have to sign a pitcher, or use the picks on pitchers. Which means they would have a rotation that has a rehabbing Yovani/Suppan/Marra/Bush, etc. Not a rotation that can win a wild card, much less a rotation. So, if I am Milwaukee I better be dang sure, I could re-sign CC, if I was going to give up LaPorta plus, for a not-so-guarantee playoff push. And considering who could be available (to me the best available after Sheets and CC---no contractual options--- would be Pedro/Pettite//Garland/Dempster/Lowe and Oliver Perez) this would be a HUGE gamble on Milwaukee's part. In other words, Milwaukee would have to be guarantee two things: 1: A playoff spot. 2: A re-signed CC Sabathia. And seeing as neither is guarantee right now, it would be a huge gamble. Baseball, more than any other sport, encourages the ill-conceived blockbuster trade. Lets hope, if this does get finalized, it ends up biting the Brewers in the butt. Lets also keep in mind that its been 20 odd years since the Brewers have been in the playoffs, and after their mega-collapse there has to be some pressure for them to take some chances
  22. This is a dumb move and I can't wait until we package Gallagher in on a deal for Randy Wolf or something immensely [expletive] I knew at the beginning of the season the only thing that had to be done was someone to kneecap Marquis to get him out of the rotation, so I know what I need to do.
