    The Cubs don't need another reliever. The pen is fine. Agreed. I'd like to see Lieber get some more work but its all good.

    Woody gives up a long ball here you won't feel the same way. Wouldn't make the situation anymore dire, this isn't a situation where the opposing team has much leverage, they don't even have the tying run at bat and they have 2 outs.

    They're starting some bozo from the minors today against Dice-K. If they don't lose today, then there should be a federal investigation. You never know, Dice-K was having some major control problems earlier this year, even still That lineup shouldn't be able to score runs, it just defies explanation, especially against good pitchers

    Marquis came into today with an ERA+ of 105, which is pretty consistent with his last few seasons. What more do people want from him? The problem is he's a stupid goofball. He walks hitters that don't walk, gives up home runs to players that don't hit home runs, makes stupid insanely dangerous tosses to first on routine plays, or makes low throws on possible double plays. He even has a balk, no one else on the team has a balk. Its not how bad he is, its how he goes about being bad.
