Yeah I mean he can want whatever he wants. Making that happen is a different story. I saw that team completely roll up into a shell with more than a minute remaining and concede into overtime to the Packers. It was pathetic. He's not a good coach. (Team can absolutely beat us though, but I don't think it'll have anything to do with Glenn)

Bears could certainly win but on their QB3 against a pretty decent team, I'm definitely not betting on it. I don't like to give score predictions because who knows or cares but I give them like a 20-25% chance to win. It'd a bummer to start the season like this and we're likely gonna have to crawl out of a hole when Caleb gets back. The good news is we get the Jets after that! Who....look a lot feistier than I'd prefer.

2026 cubs are some of the most baffling and frustrating cubs i've witnessed. it may be recency bias, but i'm pretty sure its true lots of high highs. but many, many low lows. also i attended a game where they blew a 5 run lead so that leads to some bias.

Case Keenum starting would make him the first Bears QB to be older than me in like 6 or 7 years, so in that way i applaud it

First off: I don’t care what any non-Bears fan says about Caleb. Complete non-issue. but if you’re a Bears fan that is questioning Caleb’s toughness or if you think he was hamming it up or whatever (pun intended) you are not mentally strong enough for this fandom. You will crumble to pieces over anything.

In a way, I don’t feel so bad because so much had to go wrong for us to lose that game that I’m like, well that much bad luck can’t happen again. We got it all out of our system early. On the other hand, there’s Matt Eberflus’s coaching tenure.

I shouldn’t be shocked that the Chicago sports reporters are all lambasting Johnson and talking about how much of a coaching failure this game was because they need to provide some kind of narrative or story but uh…. …. the conditions were borderline unplayable. The Vikings did nothing offensively either. It was a mess. I’m sorry to rain (lol) on anyone’s parade but I just don’t see any major conclusions to draw from this one. Other than hoping against hope Caleb is back as soon as possible.

I’m feeling surprisingly zen about this whole thing. Almost anything that could go wrong did go wrong. There’s like 3-4 plays where if something cosmically unlucky doesn’t happen you win the game in a slopfest: -Kalief Raymond not being able to cross the plane -Swift fumble at the one -Roush drops a td, one of his two disastrous drops -Caleb has a lane for a td one the play he hurts himself if Caleb isn’t significantly injured the season is salvageable. Horrible, disastrous game that still need not be a catastrophe.

That was the moment when I knew the football gods had decreed that the Bears weren’t allowed to win. There are a couple games a year where the gods just don’t allow you win. God willing you don’t also lose your quarterback for a significant amount of time too. now the Jets are purposefully just conceding the last minute of the game for no reason? Embarrassing

There’s only so much I can put down on coach vs coach scheming in a game like this. It’s just been the impossible to run a normal offense. Several drops. Fumbles. Bad snaps. Blocked field goal. then the weather may have cost your your quarterback for a while. I really don’t think there’s any way to draw any significant conclusions from a game like that.

Ok uh my main takeaway out of this may be that getting a dome in Chicago isn’t the worst idea

Ugh what a slop fest. Not happy offensively, especially the penalties, but more than anything these conditions are just horrible for offensive football. give us one TD and we likely win.
