I have to imagine terrestrial radio everywhere continues dying a slow but inevitable death. Although it will never *completely* die due to live sporting broadcasts. I have to wonder how much Chicago based sports podcasts eat their lunch, although judging by the Bernstein podcast numbers, not much

Marshall Harris doesn’t surprise me. He’s a pleasant enough guy, totally inoffensive, and honestly just kinda boring. A replacement level radio host, if you will. Dunno if they’ll ever find a collection of hosts that’ll have the same juice that Boers and Bernstein had though, perhaps it’s just an era of radio that is over. Mildly surprised to hear Mully is gone, although from the little bit I’ve heard from him over the past year he sounds ollllllld. Old and tired. Woulda figured he would retire if anything. Some of the segments they have with Biggs are just like… man, there are two guys who just can’t wait to retire. Let em go out to pasture man.

Going to 1-16 with RISP and only scoring 5 runs when you have 4 home runs and 3 doubles seems almost impossible. Impressive stuff Cubs.

Just seems like a completely rigged situation where you are guaranteed to lose and if you have the temerity to use their algorithm against them, they wont pay you out. to quote the classic 1983 film War Games: The only way to win is to not play the game -
It's annoying that teams have really pivoted to making the most of these joint practices and basically benching all the starters for preseason games for the fans. I want to see this stuff!

This feels like, in terms of volume of injuries, the worst training camp the Bears have ever had. There were more damaging preseasons in Bears history (I remember Rex Grossman breaking his ankle in 2005 right before the season) but just by how many dudes have gotten hurt, I can't remember a worse one.

The first year I *seriously* started following the Cubs (I was a passive watcher in ('03 and '04) was '05 during Derek Lee's magical season. I'll never forgive the Cubs and Dusty for totally wasting that year. PCA has 1.6 WAR more right now. Derrek Lee hit .335/.418/.662 in 158 games and PCA has more than a win and half more value, with 26 more games to play. Lmao. Lol.

I didn’t watch this one live but watching some highlights does show that Bagent was….not good…. Against back ups on the Browns. Not a great showing from him.

I'm 100% always going to root for the college player against whatever institution they're fightin against. For over 100 years schools have completely exploited these kids and I am totally in favor of them getting whatever they want from them back. -
i just want sports media to stop covering the stadium horsefeathers until something concrete happens. nothing concrete has happened since 2021 when they bought Arlington Park.

Bears have had some bad luck with guys who cost a lot of money/assets deciding not to play football anymore with little warning. Chase Claypool, Nate Davis, Drew Dalman, Kyler Gordon. I don't really hold it against Dalman as much because he decided to do it during the offseason but it still stung.

Bears Fans: Get comfortable with high scoring shootouts. In a way we need this. We need to live through this for the next few years. It will be ok.

So our biggest defensive offseason signing is out for the year. That's less than ideal. It's bad, but I also didn't think this defense was gonna be any good anyway. Hard to calibrate my expectations on this.

Given the amount of injuries the Bears have ALREADY sustained in training camp I’m wondering if the coaching staff is pushing it a little too hard. Guys, just make sure your team is as healthy as possible for the start of the season.
