I'm typically far more positive, there are tons worse on this board. I'm just getting far too many 2006 Cards vibes from this team. I'd almost rather not see them. The worse they are, the more crippled, injured and debilitated they are, the scarier they are in my mind.

I'm getting this uneasy feeling from the Brewers. The more they play, the worse they look, the more they remind me of the 2006 Cardinals. Soon Dave Bush will be 2006 Jeff Weaver, leading them to improbable upset after improbable upset, and we go down in 7 to them. Good lord it would be the worst thing in the Universe.

It was all those bad pitchers and Wood, I can live with it as long as Wood doesn't get rusty. Because when Wood gets rusty it means he starts blowing 2 run leads like mad

They are down 3-1. I'm sure Hawk isn't even announcing. The frustrating part has to be losing to a Twin team that isn't all that good. Except the fact that Twins are a really good team. The are 2 games off their PYthagorean Record...So it's not as if they are flukes. Twins are a really good team, prolly better then the White Sox, who coincendentally are playing right were they should be. So don't underestimate the Twins. I guess, the thing about them isn't their Pythagorean, its that they are scoring runs with a really really bad offense. They trot out the likes of Nick Punto, Carlos Gomez, Alex Casilla, just limitless amounts of mediocre to bad players. The only 2 everyday players with OPS's over .800 is Morneau and Mauer

I'd love to chip away at this lead because we all know we're getting 3-4 innings of the Mets bullpen of course everytime we salivate at the thought of facing a weak bullpen they retire us in order to end the game

I don't really want to wish injuries on somebody, but I sort of hope he rushed his recovery and then hurts his chances for coming back next year He's teh one guy that'll make the loss of Sheets and Sabathia feel better

Meh, good teams win like that occasionally. bad teams do as well?! I'm just saying sure they put up 6 runs but it just as easily could have been a shut out

I found it funny that with all their supposed firepower the Mets could only score from freaky bloops/single/bunt/errors and weak lame ground balls that our infielders couldn't get too. Awesome, lets keep seeing that weak contact for the rest of the season and postseason.

I trust our pitcher to shut down a team's offense more than I trust our offense to tee off on really good pitching. Am I alone in this theory? I'm 100% with you, I'd rather face a weaker offense than weaker pitching, because the way good teams vs. good teams usually go, its not typically very high scoring affairs I can honestly see our hitting clogged down to 3-4-5 runs a game, and I just would love to stifle the opposing bats, and not worry about having to get too many runs. What I'm saying is bring on the Dodgers. The whole team is hackers without a lot of power with the very notable exception of Manny. But we do a good job with Pujols most of the time, and I think we can do a decent job with Manny, probably with a lot of intentional unintentional walks. -
Its mostly embarrassing that our organization for the past 100 years couldn't put together a winning team twice in a row The World Series is one thing, mostly a crapshoot, look at how many titles the Braves took down during their run...but to not put together two playoff teams in a row with the market share we have?

It seems oddly soon for Zambrano to be starting another game. The No-No seems like it was just 2 days ago. Regardless, this has been one of the best weeks to be a Cubs fan possibly in a whole century.
