  1. He should have had hits in all 3 of his last at-bats tonight, and probably doubles on at least 2 of them. Thats what I'm trying to say
  2. i'm not gonna check his LD% or anything or actually put in any research but when I watch at bats of Milton bradley I dont want to curl into a ball like Aaron Miles or even Fontenot the guy clearly "gets" what is going on, but damn is he having some bad luck
  3. This series reminded me why i hate the Cardinals so much more than the Brewers the last few years fighting with the Brewers has clouded my vision, they are not the major foe, they can win the division if we stumble, I'll be cool with that At least their players have like, talent. It makes sense when they hit, this is what they are supposed to do. I'm tired of the cobbled together trash heap players beating us
  4. I think Rich Harden, after how well he's done the last two years or so, should be in the top 50 players right now Its a bit presumptuous to put someone like Longoria that high too, but whatever i don't necessarily disagree with it but after one year I hesitate to put someone that high Carlos Delgado isn't even in the top 100, let alone top 50 btw List isn't all that bad, all things considered
  5. Former 1st round pick with power, speed and good D, but terrible pitch recognition. Sounds like every Cubs prospect ever
  6. I'm glad I'm not watching this on TV but keeping myself detached with a gamecast, so I'm not really emotionally involved I'd recommend that to anyone else frustrated with the Cubs. I still have to keep track of what they are doing, but this way whenever bad stuff happens its kind of expected and done in a least dramatic way. Yes little men on pretend bases, keep circling them, I don't really mind.
  7. Dusty Baker finally figured out how to cast a hex on this team from afar. In all seriousness that was the most enjoyable thing about last year for me. Finally we were making the other pitchers work. And just like that...it was gone
  8. I like that the recent Lee resurgence has come at a time when every single one of our players has become a useless bloke Seriously, you couldn't at least have been hitting when it would have been useful, Lee? I'm uselessly mad now I'm gonna start ranting about "garbage time" stat hoarding
  9. This is such 2004-speak its scary in fact in many ways this team reminds me of the 2004 team but I know thats horrible fearmongering
  10. Bradley will be fine and will put up an .850+ OPS on the season, you can take my word for it. So go ahead and quote me and make me feel stupid at the end of the season or something We gotta get some production out of Catcher and our infield (aside from Theriot, never thought I'd say that a few years ago) if we want to win any games though.
  11. literally our most likely way to extend this game is a balk
  12. Can we have a little 2008 Reed Johnson magic right here SOTP SWINGISNG AT EVERYTHING ADSFASDLFJK
  13. Good god that is some awful luck Fontenot can't catch a break
  14. That would be perfect, that would be the 3rd or 4th well hit ball right to Duncan
  15. Brightside of everything Marmol pitched a good inning
  16. Somebody had to post a post about how the Cardinals were a minor league lineup before this series. Sometimes you should just bite your tongue and not tempt fate. Don't pretend that their offense has been impressive this series so far 3 runs and 2 runs both aided by defensive gaffes? Yeah, they are still a minor league lineup aside from Pujols
  17. Good god I apologize guys, ever since I've picked up Fukudome he's been terrible maybe the May effect took a little longer to kick in too
  18. maybe that goateed guy was evil aaron miles. I'd prefer if it had been bad Miles Yeah if baseball history has proven anything, the more evil you are, the more likely you are good at baseball I've longed to have a team full of A-holes. Think of it, we'd have Barry Bonds, A-rod, Roger Clemens it would be one of the best teams ever
  19. I'm consistently amazed how often Soriano misses fastballs down the middle
  20. dont care that aaron miles got a hit he is by far my least favorite player since neifi perez
  21. wait is that really aaron miles? did he shave that stupid goatee
  22. Because he hit 27 HRs playing in Petco half the time and thought he would be able to do even better playing in Wrigley half the time. Also, nobody knew he was a nutbag. but he was still bad even with all the homers if you can hit 27 homers and not have a .300 OBP i dont want you on my team, sorry
