  1. I want as much wind as possible. Tip the scales to the running game. Though we may not be the best running team in the league, I have full confidence in our defense to stop their running attack.
  2. You don't doubt at all that Orlando, Miami, or Boston is better than the Bulls? I think the Bulls could beat any of those in a series, but it is certainly just a possibility. I honestly believe the Bulls are a better team than Miami, though they are clearly not up to the task of taking out Orlando or Boston yet. But we still have plenty of time before we play Miami for the first time this season, so who knows! (they certainly have been on a roll of late)
  3. the only problem with the Bulls is they have to learn to gel mid-season, thus hurting their record when they throw some games away, as they inevitably will (they nearly threw the Cavs game away), and hurting their season. There is no doubt to me that this is the 3rd best team in the East, but I don't know if their record will show it. They can really do no worse than the 4th seed because of their division, so its not a big deal though, but the 2nd round match up could be really darn fun if we get the Celtics again. I think next year is really the start of the championship contender years, as we may still be a couple small pieces away, but damn this team is playing well, just not always consistently well. (I feel like Joe Morgan saying that)
  4. I am without any feeling regarding this game. I can't make myself hopeful, but I can't make myself feel like we'll be completely demolished. Especially with the weather situation rolling in, I have absolutely no idea what to expect. Other than that the Pats wont score 38 points. I really don't see that happening, not necessarily because of our defense (they very easily could be torn apart) but I doubt the conditions and the very nature of their game (long drives that eat up clock that would likely not be broken for big plays against us) would allow them to score so many points. There just isn't enough time in the game.
  5. i'm watchin on espn then you missed a gem from Stacy King again- "DON'T GIVE HIM THE HOT SAUCE, KYLE" after he made that three
  6. I didn't notice it until kerry sayers made a note of it- i'm gonna need a picture of the derrick rose 'shrug' after he made that ridiculous 3 because it. will. be. my. new. sig.
  7. brewers wacky rainbow free throws scare the crap out of me
  8. this is why i hate nba games, i wish they had a 'knee the game out' option
  9. ladies and gentleman, if it wasn't apparent before, it is now derrick rose is a superstar
  10. actually the last time we beat the nats we ended up with soriano's contract, so i hope they continue beating us on free agents
  11. ugh, as much as i'd like to see the cubs get a player of Matt Garza's caliber i really dunno if i like the direction this off-season is going if you are going to tank the season, let the young kids grow and build your farm system then do it. Don't try to appease both sides and sorta kinda try to win. The Pena move is consistent with either honestly. tread water, shed payroll next year, and build for the future. but i dont like this one-foot-in-one-foot-out kind of moves like this. whats the point of this? are we going to scrap for 85 wins and hope to take down a mediocre nl central? if you want to win, then go out there and spend some [expletive] money and then really show you're going to win but these kind of off-season plans are guaranteed to land you in mediocrity for another decade
  12. best Cutler moment was in the pittsburgh game last year when he was walking around with his helmet sorta hanging off his head and one of the reffs hit him in the head and the helmet came off it was goofy and funny, and heartwarming. i wuv you cutler
  13. it'd be really nice if the vikings could do us a favor and beat the giants (they wont) and then have the giants turn right around the week after and beat the packers (this also wont happen) i'm extraordinarily nervous about a playoff spot for a team thats 9-3 and sitting with the 2 seed right now, but its not unwarranted. things could get very dicey even if we finish with an 11-5 record. the mentioning of Prisco's picks had me looking up his accuracy: he's 46% hahah, literally worse than flipping a coin. (though i dunno if he picks against the spread or not)
  14. i listened to most of the game on the radio (pretty early game wasn't it? was still at work) and it was super infuriating. by the time i got the chance to watch the game on a television, it was about 2 minutes left in the game and i saw derrick rose give gravity the finger and decide to win the game. still, it'd be nice if these guys would just take a game over and not let it become a boondoggle every time. this was a bad cavs team playing the back end of a back-to-back. how'd we not blow them out?
  15. yeah, pena was clearly the best option here, though 10 mill sounds like more than i had thought they would spend all off-season, so i'm sure we'll see some correspondingly poor payroll shedding type moves coming up 2011 cubs are gonna be a whole lot of bad
  16. after the lakers game this schedule is about to get a lot softer. and its about time, nice to see the bulls pass the gut check with flying colors, but it'd be nice to throw some long win streaks together. look at this: timberwolves pacers (they've gotten better, but still shouldn't be a problem) raptors clippers sixers wizards knicks pistons bucks nets cavaliers raptors nets sixers then finally we get the celtics again, but then after that its pistons bobcats pacers and finally the overdue heat match up we could easily string together a 10 game win streak somewhere in there
  17. seriously, seeing thabo airballing threes for another team made me feel really grateful for once in a long time. miss his defense, but its worth it to not see him stink it up on the other side of the court.
  18. i literally watched like 20 minutes of the game and i saw boozer get jacked in the face, not get fouled, and then immediately down the other side of the court durant gets away with his 18th walk of the game and is fouled on his pinky or something i dunno man, i'm pretty sure this isn't just homerish whining on my part, we are getting absolutely jobbed the last few games.
  19. welp that certainly was some sort of game tonight. looks like new england is def the real deal again, so we got our hands full. good news is that we basically only need to win one of these match ups vs. the afc teams in the last few weeks, and the jets are looking much more vulnerable. would be nice if the patriots showed more kinks in their armor, oh well. gonna definitely have to put up some points to keep up with them, our defense or not. they will move the ball. another nice thing, at least to some degree (it could be heartbreaking in another) is that the last week is almost certainly going to mean a playoff spot for someone and its very possible it could lead to a rematch in the first round of the playoffs too. would hate to see us battle for our playoff lives up in lambeau vs. what i'm pretty sure is a superior team, but hey, at least every game would mean something this season. i'd have to drink a lot though if it came to that.
  20. good to see we can still win a game after our defense plays really crappy and the special teams craps the bed and the offense is merely ok. got a couple calls here but also missed out on some plays too (idonije fumble recovery!) if we play like this against the pats we get blown out, easy. still should be fun, hope we can go 2-2 down the stretch but it'll be hard as hell. heck, with the way the vikings are bipolar we could go 0-4 and manage to play good football in every one of those games. it would be a shame too, this team deserves to at least taste the playoffs, even if they get ousted in the early rounds.
  21. anyone that doesn't like stacey king is wrong. denying stacey king is amazing is like denying that the sky is blue. stacey king objectively. owns. now where is my poster machine?
  22. at least the year he predicted we were going to win the world series and he the cy young we had the best record in baseball and he threw a no-hitter so actually he did ok
  23. even for you, this is just the dumbest [expletive] ever think about it, it's not like the Lions have a great success at drawing fans, they have to halfway figure this is some innocuous way of instilling a modicum of interest into otherwise meaningless affairs it's pretty [expletive] weird to catalogue a list of it though wait, there are lions/cubs fans that exist in the real world? wait there are lions fans?
  24. noah had 0 rebounds the same night as his bobblehead doll night =D>
  25. yeah theres absolutely no way we should lose this game, if we do we're in biiiiiiiig trouble i really hope the defense (and offense!) find a way to shine, maybe a 5 sack, multiple interception day? defense still hasn't scored an interception yet this year, would like to see them break that streak
