  1. FORTE LOOKS SO GOOD
  2. Wow the offensive line, come on guys, you're playing for free
  3. This offensive line is still garbage unfortunately
  4. Was also just about to say: Wow what an effort by Johnson to evade that backfield being completely blown up by Bears players, but then, welp, nope
  5. Hope Indonije is alright, though if there's one spot we can afford injuries its the D-line I woke up a little late and missed all the fireworks i guess, time to just try to clean up the offense and get no one (else) hurt game
  6. I cannot wrap my head around the idea that some people dont like Stacey King
  7. I have no idea what this qualifies as http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-on-baseball/20794867/cubs-send-carlos-marmol-to-angels-for-dan-haren please let this be true
  8. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/quick-reads/2012/week-8-quick-reads I mean his first throw of this season was, after all, a pick six. Its been rough for ol Jay in the first quarter.
  9. I remember being upset that the Cubs didn't trade Marmol at the trade deadline....in 2010. So if this is a possibility, its like the coolest thing ever. It may actually get me paying attention to the Cubs within the next 3 years rather than the opposite of that.
  10. All I really want to see is a good offensive effort out of this week. I really do believe in the defense, even with its (few) slip ups. Try to clean stuff up, it'd be nice to really get the offense looking like an NFL non-clunky, start-then-falter-then-don't-start offense. The skill position players are in place. The offensive line, not so much. Crazy thing about the Bears receiving right now: Brandon Marshall has 50 catches, no one else even has 20
  11. Well that was unnecessarily close and definitely had shades of the 2006 Arizona game (though the Bears offense was far livelier in this one than that one) I'm not really sure why some folks are saying the Bears D didn't play well in this one, I'd argue they were fairly impressive. Though they didn't force a 3 and out until way too late in the game, they had several near miss opportunities (the fumble in the end zone, a couples balls batted in the air) that could have changed the game, and really stuck through while the offense put them in terrible field position after terrible field position. Yeah, Cam hit on a few deep balls and made some plays, which were a bit disappointing, but I really couldn't ask all that much more from the unit. And I'll stand by 'erratic' Cutler comment that I got lambasted on earlier in the thread. This isn't to make any sort of conclusive statement on his play: He just hasn't put together many complete 'good' games this season. I'm not moralizing, I'm not completely blaming him, I've way too often been on the complete other side of the argument against meatballs going for blood vs. Cutler, and its gross. However, he just isn't feeling it every game, there's always things missing, today he didn't feel the pressure well until the second half, and a crapload of that has to lay at the feet of the OLINE which was just awful early on. Also Tice, for calling a pretty strange game that didn't play to the strengths of the team until almost too late. However, yeah, Cutler had another up and down game. It happens. Nice to see him finish it off well. Marshall continues to impress and nice to see a Bennett sighting. Can't believe the Tight Ends continue to drop crucial passes when they are given so few opportunities, and Hester still can't play receiver. Would like to see some more sustained run game but conditions dictate that as well.

    NFL Week 8

They likely will only win 2-3 more games at most the rest of the year. Their remaining schedule is @SEA V. DET @CHI @GB V. CHI @STL @HOU V. GB Chicago and Green Bay 4 times in the last 6 games? Jesus

    NFL Week 8

about time the vikings got exposed a little, i remain entirely unimpressed with that team
  14. whoa henry melton has 4.5 sacks? i guess he does i really like this d-line rotation
  15. Far from it for me to complain about being a 5-1 team, but Cutler's shakiness this year is starting to worry me. He hasn't really put together a full 'good' game except for the opener, and he's look errant and wild all season. Whatever the extent of the injury today doesn't help. He reminds me of a pitcher that's having control problems. Sometimes he's right on target, and other time he's off by a mile. And other than Marshall (who has had an immeasurably positive effect) the receivers aren't doing him favors. The TEs collectively have decided to drop at least a ball that lands in their chest a game, and Hester continues to be a dumpster fire. But everything else is great and the defense appears to be one of, if not the, best in the league.
  16. The win in 2010 vs. the Cowboys was like the coming out party for the Bears, I would like to see that repeated I also dislike the Cowboys immensely
  17. Well Hey Folks! Its been a while Oh I see there are some football draft picks happening right now I kinda like what Phil Emery has been doing recently (I am concerned with the dreaded "Bears White Defensive End" that never seems to work)
  18. I still miss Big Sexy
  19. Sure there is, we could suffer more catastrophic and potentially career or life altering injuries!
  20. It is kind of unfair to Hanie, but the way the season has gone I would love to see him shot out of an airlock
  21. Its kind of a shame (if true) that Howard would pass up the chance to play with Rose and dominate throughout his prime just because he doesn't like the cold. It's probably moot because we can't offer as much as other teams can to the Magic anyway. Regardless if we get something like Crawford/Rip whatever, we'll be much improved anyway. And its almost impossible for Boozer to not have a stronger year next year.
  22. I gotta say the last 3 weeks have been like 3 evenly distributed punches to the gut, and I really have gone from feeling "Oh hey cool, a Bears game I can look forward to" to somewhere around the worst feelings I have in sports. Thanks Injury Gods, and of course, the Bears. I have almost no desire to watch this game, for I know the pain I will receive. I am compelled to, however.
  23. Well I wont rag on the defense really, they played a strong game overall that basically shut down an (admittedly terrible) offense for most of 4 quarters, basically gave up just a long field goal drive (that was admittedly, again, almost a backbreaker) and stifled them for the rest of the game, for the most part. Coulda caught a couple interceptions here and there, but what can you do? I'm surprised no one has mentioned the almost magically magnetic Dwayne Bowe fumble that returned right into his hands after popping in the air among 3 Bears
  24. This needs to be reiterated. The lack of depth has really destroyed us this year, not just at QB. Damage all across the OLine is a normal thing to expect on a football team, except last year, when we had almost no injuries at all. Two white safeties on the same field is inexcusable by the way, and should be a fire-able offense for a GM. Really, that back up O line guys can't really be expected to perform all that well, especially when there's multiple back ups playing at the same time replacing #1 draft picks. And the safeties really weren't bad at all, but that probably has something to do with playing against Palko. The safeties played well, but I can and will make fun of white defensive backs, and Lovie's odd attraction to them as much as I can.
