Dansby isn’t as generationally awful as he once was with RISP, but do you know what would make me stop ragging on him for it? If he got a hit or even a grandy here. I’ll forget everything buddy
You know I realized that the only pitcher on the Cubs roster I actually hate and dread seeing in a game is Ben Brown, which is a rare compliment to the Cubs
I’m not usually a meatball about this kind of thing or how to take an at bat but you simply cannot see three strikes down the middle if there’s a man on 3rd and less than 2 out
At the very least, the Brewers now have to deal with the reality that anything short of a World Series win is a profound disappointment because you can’t squander the insane good fortune they’ve had
I spent decades, DECADES watching the Cardinals do absurd pixie dust nonsense and I don’t think I’ve seen the Cardinals do anything like what the Brewers had foisted upon them by the gods of luck this weekend.
If the Cubs can’t pull out this piddly game and series out at home while the Brewers just make absurd comebacks look easy every single game against the Reds this feels like the kiss of death before next week even begins
Can I vent in this thread about the Brewers? Which small child did they sacrifice to the Baseball Gods? How did they get to play the longest streak of unbelievably lucky and good baseball in history (don’t care if this is true or not)? Why do they get to fall down 8-1 and effortlessly come back?
the brewers currently hold the largest lead of any division leader right now. It’s so over we don’t even know it’s over. It wasn’t even a fight. It just ended in 3 weeks.
You’re simply not allowed to blow this many runners in scoring position no out situations - it’s a hateful hateful thing to do. And you get, rightfully, punished for it.
I get trying to find something to hold onto and that is actionable but the most painful and frustrating thing about baseball is that you can’t really do much other than hope players come out of their funk
