  1. Not so fast, they just scored 5 runs and are now only down by 1
  2. He’s fine and I expect he’ll have a very good year
  3. Season flow status:
  4. Oh he was quite open that he fully accepts he was in the wrong and deserved to be fired. He just wanted to explain what happened from his perspective.
  5. Listened to the first half of Bernstein and Matt Abbattacola's show, Dan goes over what happened with him getting kicked off the Score. Sounds like social media (particularly twitter) hooked itself into his own particular mental health struggles and he really lost his mind there for a bit. And well, thats not an isolated case. Dunno if I'll listen much further but was curious about what his side of the story was.
  6. I don't know who the "this is a historic collapse" crowd was - I have been emotional and angry at the team but I never once really thought they had any chance of losing out on a wild card spot. The frustration had much more to do with the Brewers going on one of the best tears in baseball history right when the Cubs started scuffling a bit (and a sober eye could see even the scuffle wasn't that bad) and nearly locked down the entire division in like a 6 week span. They're going to the playoffs - that is more or less unquestioned at this point. What they do there, well who knows. The goal is to make it, ideally make it as a good seed, and most importantly make it as often as possible. That's one thing they've been bad at: you can't load up for just one year every 4 years. You gotta just keep making it and eventually you win one. The Dodgers did it, despite notorious seasons where they blew it with the best team in baseball. So could anyone else if they make it 15 years in a row.
  7. They def want Keenum in the room it seems like, but can’t you hire him as an assistant coach or something? Lol
  8. Division is possible but likely requires a Brewers collapse, which honestly, they’re due for
  9. I’m not so sure that was a swing but the umps wanted to go home. I’ll have to stuff that one in my pocket later when I lament how the umps always rule against my teams
  10. Ok, Out 2 is huge just get this last guy my man pleaseeeeee
  11. This feels like a game they lose, especially because it’s a Sunday game-to-sweep game
  12. I don’t like this Palencia has been a bit wild and has been toying with blowing the lead several recent games, I would hate for things to collapse here
  13. Plz figure out a way to win it would be very nice for me
  14. I was hoping they’d hang more on Kyle and friends because they kept getting multiple baserunners seemingly every inning and now they’re just going down quietly in order
  15. I’ve often wondered why pitchers don’t mix an eephus in their repertoire purely because of how insanely off putting it must be to try to hit after seeing pitches 90-100 mph all the time
  16. I remember there was a Clayton Kershaw year where he walked <10 people all season and he might have had a stretch like that
  17. Hell yes. This was the kind of snoozer I’ve been longing for (assuming I didn’t just jinx an annoying comeback into existence)
  18. Perhaps Tucker is powered by hate and revenge? All the hate from the fan base powers him up. I can respect that
  19. I would be very upset with this. I don’t like blowing our assets on a year where we’re still trying to get things into place. if the Bears win 7 or 8 games but the offense is a top half or better unit and Caleb is clearly on the right path, I’m happy. I don’t care if we have the 32nd ranked defense in that situation.
  20. I'm not going to get out of my skis with optimism or have the exceedingly high expectations I had the last few years but I feel very calmly and reasonably confident that Johnson will at least have the offense look like a representative NFL unit Something we haven't seen since like, 2013
  21. lmao the Bagency is open
  22. i send zero blame towards any of the pitching staff over the last few months. its maddening to have to back up this shiftless offense in perpetuity
