  1. Jake looking good but he's not completely stingy Also Soler needs to get the horsefeathers out of the way when Dex is doing his thing
  2. Ump having a hard time with the curve. That ball never once touched the plate
  3. Zobrist has like 5 balls this NLCS already that have been scalded to just the worst part of the parks
  4. Man, Dusty must love Heyward at the plate
  5. Cubs are 0-2 the nights I decide 'I should probably take it easy and just stick to water' and 4-0 on 'Let's start slow but inevitably end up having a beer for every inning' nights. Therefore, I apologize for last night....it won't happen again. Same. Both games that I watched at home by myself they've lost, the 4 games where I went out with friends and got trashed and spent more money than I wanted to, they've won.
  6. I thought the same thing given the swing and the sound it made off the bat Of course the second the camera went to short right field immediately made me realize the folly of my ways
  7. Zobrist could have easily had 2 doubles in this game, Javy and Rizzo both barely missed homers It's baseball
  8. Just as I thought, the best pitches to hit Kershaw threw were almost all first pitch fastballs down the pipe Our dudes mostly didn't swing at em, its too bad http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/how-clayton-kershaw-gets-ahead/
  9. I think Arrieta is comfortably better than Rich Hill right now, and just looking at the postseason, has been significantly better and than Rich HIll of late
  10. It's actually very illuminating to learn that the average OPS of playoff teams this year is about .600 - which makes sense and contextualizes our own offensive frustrations. And of course in 2/3 of our games we've scored an above average of runs, so, whatever
  11. Pete Rose is currently making a better argument than Frank Thomas (who, bizarrely, wanted Zobrist to sacrifice Rizzo to 2nd in the 7th)
  12. we win that game if a ball Baez hits goes for a homer more than 60% of the time is a homer and we didn't even play well in the game ah well
  13. bummer oh well, whatever, we lose the Kershaw game. We'll win the next 3
