  1. i didn't even realize bats were different for righties and lefties
  2. God that video gives me physical pain watching it
  3. I can't believe how many people (fans, the media, etc) that really want Kershaw pitching tonight. You want to throw him on 3 days rest (he gets full 5 days rest if you push him one more game) on the off-chance he can maybe throw relief in a game 7 that might not happen? What? This isn't even an elimination game - its totally bonkers to me.
  4. I thought before this game "well if we win it's 2-2 and it's a best of 3 and we get home field advantage" and it helped me contextualize the game. And then we won like THIS and Rizzo and Russell get very healthy. Feels good man.
  5. Montgomery can you start a single at bat with a strike dude
  6. lol I'm totally fine with them taking Utley out of the game for Howie freakin Kendrick
  7. You can be mad about it all you want John, don't walk multiple people
  8. Lackey, you have a 5 run lead just throw meatballs Christ the abaolute worst thing you can do is walk multiple people
  9. I'm not sure its possible for this team to score a run again
  10. We've gotten pretty lucky on reviews this postseason between that Rizzo pick and this play Let's take advantage of the good fortune
  11. Javy has already drawn 2 four-pitch walks this series, I don't understand how we can lose it
  12. It's actually really wise by Roberts, isn't it? Assuming he can only start once more this series, you'd rather him start on full rest than not. And you're not worried about the series not going to his next game because it has to go minimum 6 games if you're the Dodgers and losing. it means he's likely not a relief option in game 7 Sure, but if I'm the Dodgers I'd rather him start his game on full strength than potentially screwing him up on the off chance it goes 7 and he is even needed for high leverage innings there.

  14. I don't really feel all that doom-and-gloomy, I think the Cubs will score runs in the next few games and I think this going to be a long series that goes back to Wrigley. I *do* think that my expectations have turned around immensely from the end of Game 1 till now, which is a shame. But whaddayagonnado? Gimme some fun baseball is all I ask.
  15. Yeah I would imagine players would agitate for the DH as it would extend players careers and also give more players the chance to play in the majors And naturally anything that gives players a better bargaining position owners would feel more lukewarm on. That and inertia, which is a huge thing in baseball
  16. Im much less worried about Lackey than i am about our ability to score runs. But we're gonna get 5-6 innings of Dodger bullpen tonight, a bullpen that's also includes the dying husk of the Athenian soldier than ran the first Marathon, which is not nothing. Hit some baseballs friends
  17. i'm gonna turn the game off b/c the last time i did that the Cubs had their crazy 5 run inning that won the Giants series, and, bonus points, it'll save me aggravation
  18. My boys Ski and Rondon Fan are making the best posts here and I love them tbh
  19. If Hill still pitched for us he's be stuck in some sort of Schroedingerian Limbo where he would somehow be out of the major leagues but also up in the major leagues at the same time - however it costs the most disappointment
  20. oh the big red idiot gets a home run too he's the one i hate the most
  21. i guess part of me is happy for rich hill b/c i still will identify him with the cubs in some eternal manner he's thrown a good game
