I guess the pill to swallow is that with average, or even above average, luck, you're going to have at least one major injury, or one major underperformance by some player. It's probably unreasonable to expect Schwarber and Heyward to be healthy and every other player to not only stay healthy, but excel in performance. Aside from them pretty much everyone gave you what you expected, or better. Maybe next year they'll both be back at 100% power, but like, Javy will have a bad year, or Rizzo will run into awful BABIP luck that lasts months, or *something* What I'm saying is, Heyward ritually sacrificed his baseball soul for this team
