  1. Soler's been bad in the postseason but he's not like some complete total lost cause that doesn't know how to hold a bat
  2. This guy only K's 6 dudes per 9 and he gives up a home run on flyballs at a 17% rate and the wind is blowing out at record levels? Good effin luck my friend
  3. I'm ok with whatever happens in this crazy wind environment EXCEPT if that bum Roberto Perez gets some more wind aided homers
  4. well according to rob neyer the only solution is to trade rizzo I see.
  5. I guess the pill to swallow is that with average, or even above average, luck, you're going to have at least one major injury, or one major underperformance by some player. It's probably unreasonable to expect Schwarber and Heyward to be healthy and every other player to not only stay healthy, but excel in performance. Aside from them pretty much everyone gave you what you expected, or better. Maybe next year they'll both be back at 100% power, but like, Javy will have a bad year, or Rizzo will run into awful BABIP luck that lasts months, or *something* What I'm saying is, Heyward ritually sacrificed his baseball soul for this team
  6. I guess the only annoying thing is people assuming that Schwarber has no future on this team and will HAVE to be traded sometime soon. I don't think anything like that is in play. Theo and Jed want him on this team, and I actually have full confidence he can play a manageable (perhaps slightly under average) left field. He's on this team for the forseeable future.
  7. Schwarber always seems a little confused and shy in interviews i feel like in the back of his mind there's a constant voice saying "hit baseballs...smash baseballs...is this guy asking me about playing the field? I dunno I just wanna smoke baseballs"
  8. That was a very productive inning, though additional runs would have been very nice.
  9. Kluber would be the only one to go twice on short rest Maybe he meant we'll be facing mediocre starters on short rest twice Yes, thats precisely what I meant
  10. I dont get why the Indians don't go with 1 bullpen game instead of sending their already mediocre starters out there on 3 days rest TWICE Kluber I understand but...Tomlin and Bauer? Huh. I hope they get punished for their foolishness
  11. Quick, lock Baez into a room with that machine for 13,000 pitches over the off-season
  12. Jesus THAT guy. He even had back up signs that read "1984 and 2003 Chokers" really? You're gonna go for 1984 here? If you're the type of guy that wants to rag on the other team when you're favorite team is in the WORLD SERIES I got nothing for you
  13. Maddon is in full "horsefeathers it Players are just gonna deal with it" mode, which, I appreciate from a certain angle. That lineup also makes me dearly wish for having the DH in the NL
  14. I think we should take the 4 guys that all have near .400 OBPs and ... move them
  15. I dont think there is anyway Montero DOESN'T start at Catcher, but of course I didn't think Maddon would basically bench Heyward in the World Series after sticking with him for 172 games, so who knows
  16. Yeah I'm listening to the Score too, interesting. My brain is telling me he will flail at a bunch of pitches and look bad, my heart says he dongs
  17. eh, it sucked, Kluber looked great, the ump was horrific, the at-bats we had were miles ahead of where we were in those games against Kershaw and Hill It's a long series. Just dong them to death, thank you
  18. LOL, right?! I'm gonna feel like a [expletive] fool if I bawled my eyes out Sat, only to have the guys go down as quietly as they did against the Mutts last year. Its a long series, and the rest of their staff ain't Kluber
