  1. Was not expecting a low scoring slugfest. That says a lot about how damn impressive this defense is, but Mitch needs to get it together or were in trouuuuuuble
  2. It really sucks to lose two games to complete garbage opponents in heartbreaking fashion but if you gotta start your back up QB twice you’re usually happy going 1-1. Gotta hope Trubisky is healthy, even so youre in for a tough game.
  3. That sucks Not because I think it dramatically hurts our chances of winning (though it is a drawback) but because I want to see Trubisky play more
  4. Is Bryce gonna do a tour of various cities and get PowerPoint presentations like Lebron got in 2010 when he hit free agency? I don’t remember if baseball does that thing
  5. Probably not, no. It owns.
  6. Yeah one of the reasons football now is stupid is that outrageous hold wasn’t called but Trey Burton’s “”””hold”””” was
  7. God bless Matt Stafford’s choke artistry is worse than even Jay Cutler
  8. Wow this team really doesn’t want to win I guess. Come on y’all
  9. Oh. The Bears are gonna lose now probably
  10. Well as bad a half as that was the Bears do have the lead This game will be an annoying nail biter I’m pretty sure
  11. Ugh, no Trubisky and like 3 days of rest makes the variance on this game shoot through the roof. I don’t like it at all.
  12. 2010 sucked but it sucked less than 2013 or whatever year when Aaron Rodgers went down for 5 games and the Bears fumbled away a huge divison lead and lost on the last play of the game because of Chris horsefeathering Conte I hate hate hate hate hate the Packers so much because they manage to always pull that kind of garbage comeback win out of their butts, like the first game of the season that nearly completely killed any interest I had in football. (Good job the Bears for being very good and keeping me around the edges)
  13. It’s pretty messed up that the league makes teams play Day game Thursday football games after a night game Sunday night game. I’m hopeful the Bears win but I’m anticipating a sloppy and not crisp affair.
  14. What a “statement” game for this Bears team Impressive
  15. This is the best Bears team in around 10 years and perhaps the best young QB they’ve ever had? Feels weird
  16. I've always thought the field had the advantage on the Cubs on getting Harper so I haven't really gotten too tied up in expecting him to come here, but its still a bummer to not really see much buzz at all
  17. i'm kinda lazily following this season but i'm mad at the schedulemakers for this whole 'play the Lions twice in like 15 days' thing also dont the bears get the bye in the first 4 weeks like every year
  18. Usually I don’t think hitting coaches matter or do much at all, so I’m actually pretty surprised to see hitters legitimately thought he ruined their swings. I just wanted a blood sacrifice for this hell hole of a season, but if it actually helps fix things, all the better
  19. I'm totally fine going in with Maddon on the last year of his deal and see what happens. Maybe its playing with fire and unfair and puts a weird amount of pressure on Joe and his managing will slip. I dont know. My thinking regarding managers is that, tactically, almost all of them are gonna do weird perplexing horsefeathers, mess a bunch of horsefeathers up, and you really can only hope to minimize the damage there. Evaluating the rest of it....is really hard if not impossible. I think its clear that Maddon is a good "player manager" however that is defined, even to the point where its a bad thing, like with Russell. The team is motivated and plays to win and morale seems high. It is what it is. I think Chili Davis should be fired at the very least as a sacrificial lamb and admission that something dreadfully wrong went on with the hitting, even if it a majority of it wasn't his fault. It just has to happen.
  20. Wipe this year out of your memories, and look forward to Kris Bryant and Willson Contreras at full power with Rizzo, Baez and Schwarber hitting beautiful arcing dongs out of the stadium. Perhaps Bryce Harper will be part of the mix but I'm not gonna get too excited about it yet.
  21. i 100% do not desire Maddon getting fired no matter how weird he gets in games however, if Chili Davis isn't immediately given the boot its pitchforks and torches time
  22. inexcusably, unfathomably bad. shoot chili davis immediately into the sun
  23. they could have given the cubs 20 innings and they wouldn't have scored
  24. I hate this team. I hate the 2018 Chicago Cubs. What a fuckin miserable team. I don't know how they did it, but they made a 95 win season absolutely dreadful
