    I'm glad he's hot right now, and I hope it keeps up. I still have little confidence that it's a long term change though. The guy has been bad for too long now to just suddenly figure it all out again. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong, and I'm certainly enjoying it right now.

    I get off work at 3:30. I get in the car, and realize I hadn't checked the ballgame all afternoon. My radio is already on The Score, and they're doing an update right then, so I decide I'll listen to that for the score before I flip to WGN. David Schuster comes on to tell me that it's the 3rd inning and the Cubs are down 6-0. He then proceeds to say, and I'm paraphrasing here..."For all practical purposes, this game is over."

    Something had to be lost in the translation there. Either Turner said, "Jay" instead of "Jerry" or the writer is blending two very different sentences into one. My thought exactly. I must have re-read that sentence 4 times.

    Oh come on..lets not pretend he's the thing that's somehow keeping the Cubs from winning. He's a part of the problem...he's not THE problem. Chill. Where did I say he was THE problem? Our leadoff hitter can't get on base, that's killing this team. Period. When you say someone is "killing the team" it implies that he is the sole problem. It's like pointing at a car wreck and saying you can't drive because the tires are flat. Well sure, but the engine is broke, the steering wheel is bent, and the car is on fire too.

    Our number 3 hitter is slugging .395. Our number 5 hitter is sluging .307. The team sucks. Focusing on Soriano is odd.

    Last Friday. This is interesting: Soriano hasn't had a multi-hit game since May 17. His OPS was almost .200 higher then. Wow And hes still hitting leadoff. fng amazing. No kidding. Wake up Lou. I'd rather they just DL him for a while and let him get healthy and rested.

    I've always much preferred Pizza Hut, but Dominos was my main sustenance when I was in the dorms in college. Yeah, it was right across the street from my dorm, and they had $5 large one topping carry out.

    I love Domino's pepperoni pizza. It's a comfort food, since we had a lot of Domino's when I was a kid. Unfortunately it gives me heartburn something awful now.

    I'd been pitching the idea of a Soto jersey for Father's day to my wife since Spring Training. I've now told her to change that to a Cutler jersey.
