  1. The winner of the opening coin toss only benefits for a half. The other team gets it made up to them in the other half. It's not comparable. The OT coin toss is a significant advantage. If you want to have a sudden death OT, how about determining the team to get the ball at the beginning of OT in another way that isn't random? Maybe the team with the most total yards, or the most first downs during regulation gets the ball. Something like that. I'm just spitballing, but I don't care for the randomness of the way it currently works.
  2. They're cleared to play this season and nothing further will be decided until after the year. I was about to dispute that, but I see the decision finally came down today.
  3. Completely agree ... the overtime system heavily favors the team that won the coin toss. It's not fair. This isn't college, thisn't is high school, this is the NFL. The Titans had 60 minutes to win the game and they didn't. Just because they didn't win the coin toss, or stop the Steelers when the needed too doesnt mean it's unfair. I truly doubt you'll hear any Titan player complain about th OT rules being unfair. The Titans didn't stop the Steelers in OT and that is ON them, an not the OT rules. The OT rules are fine. Let me ask you this. Are you denying that the coin toss is a factor in determining the winner?
  4. Yeah, I went back and bolded it cuz it was that bad.

  6. Sunday night is sooooo far away! I hate looking forward to Sundays...makes my weekends go too fast...heh.
  7. Like I said (somewhere)... The dark icons make it easier to discern read from unread, but they're ugly against the light background. Is the change on the IP/~nsbb version? Cuz I don't see a change with the icons on nexus.
  8. I'll probably stick with the old style. It just "feels" like NSBB.
  9. Madden curse? Larry Fitzgerald should be terrified.
  10. Horizontal. Don't put that menu back....that was rough. :blackeye: And yeah, I'm accessing by IP/~nsbb so that's where the pulldown menu link wasn't working. It's fine, I'm dealing...just wanted to mention in case you didn't know.
  11. The link to the message board from the main page appears to not be working right now.
  12. Oh yes. Much, much better.
  13. Polamalu has a sprained MCL. Out 3 to 6 weeks. Will almost definitely miss the Bears game.
  14. I'm not seeing the "my board style" choice. And yeah, that left hand side menu is rather large.
  15. End you stupid game!
  16. Ugh....I need to go to sleeeep.
  17. The guy I'm playing in fantasy this week has Hines Ward, so yay right? No...he has the Titans defense...so he gets credit for a forced fumble too. :banghead:
  18. LUCKY SOB's
  19. Special teams is going to cost the Titans this game.
  20. Steelers could've gotten an offsides there if they hiked the ball at the right moment.
  21. I hope the Steelers play this way next week.
  22. Not getting the new front page yet.
  23. BTW Dew, the Titans haven't done much to dispell FO ranking them 32nd in ST.
  24. I think DVOA had him playing defense too...hence that #2 ranking. They might want to adjust.
