  1. Yeah, the Packers hype level is far, far too high. That's ok though...3 more days to keep building it up.
  2. Sports Guy is hilarious today.
  3. That's all I see too. Maybe someone deleted a post and it didn't subtract from those totals? Who knows.
  4. Peter King on this game: Nevermind that BJ Raji is unlikely to play.

  7. It's been quite some time since it's been used, but the NSBB backup board DOES still exist. If anyone has withdrawals during the downtime, the backup board is located here: http://s8.invisionfree.com/emergencynsbb/index.php
  8. Lovie Smith: "We're an afterthought except for in Chicago." Looks like Lovie is gonna go the "underdog"/"no respect" route for motivation this season.
  9. If we can go 1-2 through that stretch, I'll be content. I'd be glad to be in a position to get to 2-2 for the first quarter of the season with a win against Detroit and go from there (there's that Lovie-speak again). Me too. :beg: Screw that noise. 4-0.
  10. Alcohol allergy. That's hilarious. My brother in law got plowed one night after drinking a bunch of wine at a restaraunt and called his folks saying he was having an allergic reaction. He was just plowed...too funny. http://mayoclinic.com/health/alcohol-allergy/AN00818
  11. If the numbers agreed with all of your perceptions, there'd be no need for the numbers! ;) Right. I just don't trust their formulas for determining value yet. Case in point, running back performance last year: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/rb Heh...fair enough. I like their defensive stats better than the their offensive ones generally.
  12. Better go get all your friends to buy tickets Rocket. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/09/09/bengals-facing-a-week-one-blackout/
  13. If the numbers agreed with all of your perceptions, there'd be no need for the numbers! ;)
  14. His job is to look like Omar Epps, and he's very, very good at it.
  15. Yeah, FO is a great read...and they certainly break things down with a lot more though and accuracy than Mark Schlereth or Trent Dilfer or Keyshawn Johnson or whatever schlubs ESPN is employing this week. Nothing is ever perfect, but it's closer than anything else right now.
  16. But was it later in the game that it became hard for them get off on 3rd downs? After they'd been on the field for a while? I don't know the answer for sure, and I'm not sure how to check that out without going through 16 game logs.
  17. I'm Forte Knox in both groups if anyone cares. :P I sent out an email to some work buddies to join up on these also...hope you don't mind.
  18. I'm not gonna do 10 of these...at least not right now. But my bold prediction for the season is that two of the Bears WR finish with 1000 yards this season.
  19. I disagree with this for 2 reasons. 1) The O-Line was not good last year. We had freaking John St Clair out there for pete's sake. 2) The passing threat wasn't there either. Once they had Hester covered (which just about every team did) then all they had to worry about was the underneath stuff. I will say I don't think Forte gets as many catches this year, because Cutler won't throw underneath nearly as often as Kyle did. But I think Forte will be a better runner this year. He has great vision, and is fantastic at finding a hole.
  20. I'm sure that gif is on it's way.
  21. I tried that at Lowes and home depot hoping to run into the "Yard crasher" TV show guy and it never happens, but considering there are more Ricketts you may have better odds You know...Lowes and Home Depot don't require tickets for entry, right?
  22. I think basically you can fill out a form and have the police do the dirty work of taking the person into custody. I don't know the full details. But it doesn't sound like the police are too convinced if they haven't filed charges.
  23. It was a citizens arrest by Tila. The police haven't filed charges.
  24. I'm definitely going to be much more interested in Vikings-Packers games from a pure football perspective (rather than just it's impact on the standings) than I usually am.
  25. Hunter is a special teams guy? For some reason I'm drawing a blank on picturing him out there. I think he's here because he'd be a $4.65m cap hit if cut this year. He's signed through 2011, so I think next year is the first year he won't cost more as a cut than as an active player. So he's no great ST guy, so you may well be right...salary could be a bigger factor.
