I think that was less complaining about the suspension as much as it was pointing out how completely hypocritical the NCAA is. Gold star for you. I realize that only getting a 1/2 game suspension in a game Johnny was probably only going to play one half anyway is a great deal in exchange for the NCAA going away.
Clowney, Bridgewater, Boyd, Lee, etc all have mass signings that have been certified (though none as much as Johnny). I wonder when they'll get their 1/2 game suspensions.
Looks like Manziel will be suspended for the first half of the Rice game this Saturday under the by law that states you shouldn't knowingly sign autographs for someone that will profit off of them even if you don't, or whatever [expletive] it says. I guess everyone is agreeing to it to let the NCAA save at least a little bit of face and to also get them off Johnny's back.
From the "I'll believe it when I see it" file...Rumor is that the A&M Athletic Department has a signed affidavit from one of Darren Rovell's main "sources" admitting that he was paid to say that Manziel took money in exchange for signing autographs and supposedly the NCAA is calling off their investigation.
I hope he gets reminded of that daily. Something tells me Rice is going to get punished for all this offseason nonsense on 8/31. I'd bet the over in that game, whatever it is.
You think all Asian players are Japanese? This guy is a Choo. I don't have anything against the Chooish people. I like General Tso's chicken. nice work
Alabama plays pre-season top 15 LSU at home and pre-season top 10 Texas A&M on the road. If they make the SEC Championship game as expected they will most likely play a top 5 team in Georgia or South Carolina. I know Virginia Tech is down this year but it's a decent non-conference matchup. Sure the rest of the schedule is crap but the best tOSU has on their schedule is pre-season #17 Michigan on the road. They also have #22 Northwestern on the road and #23 Wisconsin at home. Neither schedule is a gauntlet (see: LSU) but it's clear that the Tide have a tougher road.
