Is Davies a whole lot better than he looked this year? I don't know much about him, but he wasn't good at all from what I remember.

Give me Dye over Church. More power. Offer Veal and Moore? I'd take either but if jacque stays and mans CF, then yeah dye is a good choice. I think that Veal and an even lower level prospect may get it done.

Would also likely be the death knell of Murton in Chicago, correct? I kind of thought Church would play CF and wouldn't really effect Murton. Of course, Murton could be part of the deal. but id imagine that theyd keep pagan up on the big team rather than murton so he pry would go back down if church comes unless we ship jacque off to someone first.

i'm not confident that he'll make a move. i am confident that i know as much as any of you as to what hendry is thinking.

of course hendry said he is going to stand pat. what was he supposed to say? we REALLY need another bat! No, because then he looks desperate and would get fleeced. I'm not sure if he'll do anything or not, but lets wait until 4:00 before we conclude that he's going to do nothing.

I don't know about numbers wise, but I have just heard that he definitely wants to be an everyday player. i like him as a better option than jones in cf.

I'm still not sold on the new and improved jacque that we have seen this month. Hopefully I'm wrong and he keeps it up, but given his play from earlier this year and Floyd's health, I think Church would play more days than not. He would be a better platoon option for Jones in CF than Pagan if nothing else(he hits LHP and RHP basically the same). He's got a little pop and can get on base. His OPS+ the past two years is 120 and 128 respectively. Given that we probably won't get Griffey or Dunn, Church is by far the best way for Hendry to go. Get it done Jim!

never take for granted the ability make a last minute decision and watch them at wrigley though. I see them 2-3 games a year(normally atlanta) and haven't visited wrigley since i was 7.
