  1. Brace was #3 on my wish list that I PMed dew, I was hoping he'd stick around for my next pick :x Thanks for my pick dew. I figured I'd bump this back to the first page for those about to make a selection.
  2. This may have been answered earlier in the thread, but I didn't see it anywhere. How many rounds is this draft planning on lasting?
  3. I think just go to the "download center" on mlb.com. Download the latest version of flash player and the "nex def" plugin. I believe that's all that's needed. The nexdef plugin is still not availible on thier download pg. It just says "coming soon". Oh, I have it still from last year so I don't know. I'll probably need to download the new one too since they've apparently modified it.
  4. Honestly, why would the raiders even sign TO? To sell tickets? He surely won't make them a good team and will almost certainly be a distraction. They'll still suck. I don't get all the speculation other than the "they're the raiders" train of thought. Al Davis may be selfish and a bit senile, but surely he has enough sense to realize that TO will not equate football success. I haven't followed Raiders football that closely either though. On the other hand, my other favorite NC state alum Torry Holt would make an excellent no. 1 (or 2) receiver on any team. He's on the backside of his career (unfortunately, since STL has been running in place for years) but still has at least 2-3 excellent years left. I'd love SD, Washington, or even Carolina to pick him up. Chicago seems like a perfect place for him to land as well.

  6. If that was part of the original agreement, yes. He's too mentally weak to deal with such unclear transactional boundaries
  7. The new player is available, but only for "select" spring training games so I can't see what it's all about yet. Apparently, last nights China-Japan WBC game was on the new player and people were raving about the picture quality. If it's really close to HD as advertised, I'll be ecstatic.
  8. I really hate comments like this. I mean seriously. Why? The Cubs have a fetish for lefties. So lets repeat it 400 times. Wow, don't get your panties in a wad. The cubs have added 5 hitters this offseason to their active roster and all 5 have been lefties. Without performing a search would it be OK if I said I'd like to pass because he sucks or has that dead horse been beat as well? Look, I'm just saying, the left handed sarcasm is old. And Bobby Crosby sucks because he's Bobby Crosby. That's fine, I've only seen it referenced once but I guess you've combed through a lot more threads than me. And I wasn't being sarcastic. I literally think Hendry would pass on him simply because he's not left-handed. I think it has gotten to that stage.

  10. He's not left handed so it doesn't even matter.
  11. With the 19th pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select.... Percy Harvin, WR - University of Florida
  12. Does he want to be a backup in San Diego?
  13. Will the trade be official by tomorrow?
  14. that's awesome, i hope he keeps it +100000000000000 If the Cubs win 10 or 15 in a row Chad should shave it and superglue it to Brenly's noggin.
  15. That spiderman thing he does out of the tunnel is awesome. I always liked him in spite of my best friend eagle fan making it hard to pull for any of them.
  16. I heard an interview on XM that Schilling wanted to play for the Cubs about a month ago. I couldn't find it online and I didn't know how serious he was so I never posted anything about it. If he'd sign for about 4 or 5 million I'd be all over it.
  17. or just outright wrong
  18. I seriously doubt he can repeat another 151 ERA+ season, but even if that drops 25 it's still a really good season. Assuming he will be terrible is over the top pessimism.
  19. I guess it depends on how easy those incentives are to hit. I have a feeling it might be based on something like games played for alot of it. Plus you're missing one big important part about the Dodgers signing Hudson, and thats the Dodgers giving up a first round pick. incentives are always based on games played/at-bats/innings pitched. you can't make incentives based on stats I'm sure that it probably isn't the case with this scenario because it's such a large money differential, but there have been plenty of incentives within contracts that don't deal with "health related" measurements. Their not "stats" per se, but they're based more on performance than GP/AB/IP. Edit: I see that I've been beat due to the time needed to look up these specific examples. Anyway, I took the time to look them up so everyone can just deal with the redundancy :)
  20. huh, I wonder why they're forecasting such a low OBP vs. LHP? The past three seasons he's averaged a .374 OBP versus southpaws. It was the only stat that made me not want to punch a wall when I thought about the Cubs signing him. If he slugs 330 and gets on base less than a third of the time, I think he'll enter "Neifi" territory when it comes to hated Cubs.
  21. Really? I was a few years older than I am now. What's even the point of this? I was just saying that during the Sosa/McGwire period I was too young to truly gauge the overall state of MLB.
  22. Did you also miss the part where both parties edited their posts to clear up any confusion?
