    Are you the guy who has that problem with his keyboard at work? I kind of doubt that Hendry would try to gauge the reaction that way. My guess is that either a) someone just made something up, or b) some person lower down that Hendry talks to told someone else. (much quieter) yes I am, I appologize I am just wishfully thinking Hendry is testing the waters so to speak..this trade idea makes me physically sick Quite possible. Perhaps they're trying to motivate Prior a little?? Who knows. Motivate him to do what? Dodge better? he needs to wear a cloak of positive agility! Or +1 Boots of Quickening.     There is a good possibility his #'s will drop tremendously. I'll pass. But if they do, theyll only drop to around or maaaaybe just below Jacque Jones level. And they will only do it for one year, for 450k, instead of sucking for 3 years at over 5per. It's not like Jones is gonna push us over the top, just another example of how mind blowingly bad the Jones signing was.

    God I am sick of seeing this garbage. Here's what you should do, go into every political thread and tell everyone to shutup, because they dont know what they're doing anymore than President Bush. I mean, if we aren't smart enough to be a GM of a baseball team, obviously we arent smart enough to challenge the leader of the nation. This just really gets under my skin. If your boss does something you dont agree with, do you just swallow it up? You dont have to be smarter or more capable than someone to disagree with them.

    Id take Felix off. He has a good shot to be better than Zambrano, but he has a better shot to see his arm fall off or he blows up or something. If Im trading Zambrano, I want guaranteed production.

    Guh? I sure would love to hear what Hendry thinks is a good trade that involves Prior. i feel like i just got punched in the stomach. If Prior gets traded for Tejada you better up that bet for the Peoria stop on the Cubs Convention. if prior gets traded for tejada (or anyone) im coming to peoria, and treeman wont even get his shot off because im going to beat the s out of hendry myself

    hell no, how could you? if the option is jones at three years, or waiting and hoping something else comes along, you wait and hope something else comes along. I mean, Jesus, it's not like Jones is going to put us over the top this year, if nothing else, you go with Patterson or Pie for a month and try to trade for someone with an expiring contract. If Jones had signed for one year, I would have been upset, but not really pissed at Hendry, considering there arent a lot of options, and it would only be a one year stop gap, but the fact that he hamstrung us with that contract for 3 years is unforgivable.

    Agreed. I think Nomar should be playing LF if anything. How is he going to make those stretches from 1b after a season where he completely tore up his groin? Glad to see him go to the Dodgers instead of the Astros though. It would have been pretty much a guarantee that he would have killed us if he played for the Astros. Does he have to stretch? McGriff never did when he was with the Cubs. He caught the ball right in front of the chest while standing stiffly upright. Karros only stretched a little. Sometimes veteran 1B's are cut quite a lot of slack for lazy defense. I never would've thought Randall Simon could stretch, but he did. Man I would love to see him back. wasnt he so bad in 2004 that he couldnt even get a deal for 2005? I guarantee you he can hit better than Macias did last year, or any of our pinch hitters for that matter. really? cause he had a .404 ops in 2004
