  1. How can Ou still be ranked that high? Bad ass defense, best running back in the nation and a stable of talented receivers? Look, Bomar had talent, and surely would have had a nice season, but last year he only tossed 10 TDs to go with his 10 picks. And we still beat Oregon in the Holiday bowl, and without that phantom loss in Texas Tech, we would have been 9-3. All that with the toughest schedule in the nation. If it were up to me, OU would be between 15-20 in the polls, but you know how pollsters do. There isn't a legit number one team in the nation at this stage of the year, so the polls are going to be kind of wonky for awhile.

You lost me. It's only important for the leadoff guy to get on base. Oddly enough, OBP isn't even a fantasy baseball category. "Basically, everything you know about baseball when you are fourteen years old, you know from baseball announcers. Here was this guy [bill James] who was telling me that at least eighty percent of what baseball announcers told me was complete bull(edit), and then explained very convincingly why it was." - Voros McCracken.
  3. Should we draft up to the top again and then go to waivers? Or do you guys want to go back up to the top, down to Raw and then go to waivers?

    You lost me.
  5. I think it was explained quite well already -- ARod was the superior player at that position. Pretty simple, actually. If you think the hatred for aRod is bad now, imagine if he had taken Jeter's position. If I'm the Yankees or a Yankee fan, I don't care if people hate one of my players. I only care for what makes my team better, and Rodriguez playing SS is that. Is that even true anymore?
  6. hahahaha i love zambrano, even when he screws up just dont hurt your leg
  7. uhhh
  8. Disagree. Yeah, there are actual pitchers who actually fit into our actual plans for the future, let's give those guys as many starts as possible. But, good for him, it was a nice bright spot in a dismal year.
  9. everything about this is wrong
  10. The thing is, you cut out a walk or two per nine innings and marmol could be a terrific starter, why waste these early, inexpensive years by making him into a closer?

  18. hey, i think i saw that one dude on cops last week
  19. That isn't how it works, at all. 9.5 games back may not seem like a large number, but it is compounded greatly by the fact that there are eleven teams in front of the Cubs. The fact that three of those eleven, not counting St. Louis, which makes it four (out of twelve, that's 33%) are from our own conference make it just about as impossible as impossible can be that the Cubs can make the postseason.
  20. I took it to mean that Izturis presence at SS moves Ronny to 2b for the near future, providing a bridge to EPatt.
