  1. Not really. The larger the playoff is, the more likely the best team isn't crowned champions. No, that's what I'm saying. No one looks at the winner of a playoff and says "well, there's the best team in the nation." They just accept them as the winner of the championship tournament and move on. In a sport where you only play 14 games, it's useless to try to determine who the best team is if you don't have to. Let's stick them in a playoff, crown a champion and go home.
  2. The best team at the end of the year doesn't always end up No. 1 Does anyone think that by January, Ohio State was a better team than USC? No way. But they were higher ranked, because they hadn't lost all season. A playoff would eliminate that little problem.
  3. Are you talking about the Steven Jackson one? I think I like that one even more than the LDT commercial. Say what you will about Nike, but they always come up with awesome advertising.
  4. Can we litter our DL with Sooners? <3 Dusty and Tommie. You can draft Granger and McCoy in a few years. They start at tackle for us now, but they're just a Rs Frosh and a Sophomore.
  5. What's the worst thing that happens? A flag and you lose a foot? Fantastic play.
  6. He just launched himself in the air, that was a thing of beauty.
  7. Brown and Tommie are having a huge game.
  8. I think it was Alex Brown that was about one inch away from hitting Rivers arm and killing this drive.
  9. <3 Tommie Harris. That was sexy.
  10. The reason I'm in favor of a playoff for college football is that I don't feel that the best team has to be the champion, which is what the polls try to determine. We're talking about teams playing, at most, 14 games. And it's not like there's much crossover, where the top teams are playing the same opponents and you can more accurately determine who is better than who. Stick them in a playoff and at the end of the season, crown a champion that may or may not be the best team, instead of the stupidly arbitrary polls that try to do the impossible. Another positive aspect of a playoff system, it would curtail some of the stupid "which conference is stronger" bs. THERE'S NO WAY TO TELL WHEN A GOOD TEAM PLAYS ONE STRONG NON-CON TEAM AND THEN GOES UP AGAINST NOTHING BUT CONFERENCE OPPONENTS.
  11. What's really bad is that you could see he wasn't expecting to be thrown to. not even a decent decoy It looked like when he went to make his cut, he looked back and thought the ball was already in the air, so he just mailed the rest of it in. I don't think he knew the ball was headed his way until it was already picked off.
  12. People are going to give Rex hell for that, but look how many times he's been on the run so far in the first half. He's been running for his life every second time he drops back to pass.
  13. Man the Bears defense is fun to watch.
  14. I havent seen the replay, but if thats the case, Ill be interested to hear if Aikman says it. Nevermind Aikman just openly said it wasnt Grossmans fault, however the rest of the dumbasses in the media will ignore that. He did. Berrian got to the five and just gave up on his route. That was a real Randy Moss move.
  15. A complicated algorithm is going to be the best way. It's too bad people are too stupid to accept it. A lot of the posters here included. Maybe you should explain it to all of us genius? So we can understand it because we'll not nearly as bright as you think you are. It really is fun to see how worked up you get. These college football threads always bring out the best in you.
  16. I like ND, but OH MY. Getting a little ahead of ourselves aren't we ESPN? I think you're missing the joke.
  17. I think you should post that in the Transactions thread too, no sense in only posting it in two threads just to get a rise out of people. Look at his numbers bro, he's a third starter. He wouldn't be the third starter in Tennessee for god's sake.
  18. It's so hard to tell how good any team is, especially right now, since most big-time schools play at the most one quality non-con opponent, and then only conference teams after that.
  19. I don't ever remember Hawkins being lights out. Hawkins was pretty untouchable as a setup guy
  20. And Mallett is in.
  21. At this point, it should be days. At this rate, he may be fired at halftime.
  22. He walked three steps and then took off jogging? What's the deal?
  23. I'll consider it a moral victory if Mizzou can hold you guys under 50 points in Norman. I can't imagine we'll be able to play like this on offense for too long before someone figures out a way to stop us.
  24. 51-13, take that Miami.
  25. So Ceda starts out in AA next year?
