Apparently anyone can write about Fantasy now that it's popular. Last Sunday's Tulsa World had a full page dedicated to fantasy football, and these are the writer's (Jason Collington) rankings. QB 1 - Peyton Manning - Duh 2 - Drew Brees 3 - Tony Romo - ???????? 4 - Carson Palmer 5 - Jon Kitna - Is this a joke? 6 - Matt Leinart 7 - Marc Bulger 8 - Matt Hasselbeck 9 - Donovan McNabb 10 - Tom Brady Kitna five spots ahead of Brady? Romo ahead of Carson Palmer? What in the hell? Well, the running back rankings can't be that bad, can they? RB 1 - LDT 2 - Steven Jackson 3 - LJ 4 - Shaun Alexander 5 - Reggie Bush 6 - Ahman Green - GUH? 7 - Travis Henry 8 - Joseph Addai - Funston's Big Board has him 4th...OVERALL 9 - Jamal Lewis 10 - Frank Gore - Funston has him sixth overall Guys like Green, Henry and Lewis ahead of Westbrook, Willie Parker, Rudi Johnson and Stiff Arm Maroney? You've heard the names Clinton Portis and Maurice Jones-Drew, correct? He doesn't have them in his top thirty . Ronnie Brown? 25th best running back according to this guy, or, eleven spots behind Lamont Jordan. His Wide Receiver rankings aren't as bad. Though he did wait till No. 7 to list Torry Holt, who he claims "disappeared all last year". He put Reggie Wayne at No. 11, and I don't think anyone else in the world doesn't see him as a top-10 wideout. The real shocker of his list? No. 21 Wes Welker, ahead of Braylon Edwards, Laveraneus Coles, Hines Ward, Calvin Johnson, Plax, Chris Chambers and Mark Clayton. When he does his tight ends, it gets all kinds of wonky. At No. 1 he has Antonio Gates, who even your mother would put at the top spot. Then he has Jason Witten at No. 2, ahead of Shockey (3), Heap (4), Cooley (5), Tony Gonzales (6), Vernon Davis (7), Kellen Winslow (8).
