  1. 7-1 buddy. You can't touch me.

    The NBA thread

Thank god I'm not a Bobcats fan. I can't imagine being forced to hate michael jordan for being a [expletive].
  3. Guys, you didn't even look at the fine print of the contract. He signed as a towel boy. GET IT? TOWEL.
  4. I'm convinced this was all a plot against me. Next year you will pay.
  5. im so nervous i started hasselbeck instead of manning, so either way, we're even
  6. personally ive always seen him as this generation's dee brown
  7. (silence) Player: Great question, I absolutely think so. (more silence) Player: Yes, completely. (even more silence) Player: Well I don't think so. No, that's not true.
  8. http://wgnradio.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=120&Itemid=236 Back to this again. Wouldn't mind either, but would prefer Blanton. Blanton would look nice in the rotation. I guess we'd be giving up Pie for Blanton... Who the heck plays CF then? Looks like Figgins. Failing him, I would make it a platoon, getting a FA like Brady Clark to platoon with Fuld. I believe i just vomited
  9. ESPN is so [expletive] sometimes. They just talked about Kosuke's signing, and had our projected lineup with Soriano at second and Murton in left. They also gave Kosuke perhaps the worst photoshop treatment ive ever seen
  10. i hate him because meph told me to
  11. It seems odd to me that Roger is denying all of this stuff on the (apparent) basis of trying to keep his HoF chances alive. If I'm him, I'm thinking that it's a bummer, but the juice helped me make over $100 million that I otherwise wouldn't have seen. Then I go home and wrap myself up in a blanket of $100 dollar bills and have my maid polish my Cy Youngs in front of me.
  12. THIS IS RIDICULOUS It's a slap in the face to the Cubs fans that idolized him. You know the people that paid for the tickets, bought his jersey, etc. The city of Chicago and Cubs fans made him rich - and we've been waiting (and paying) for a long time for him to get healthy. If he wanted to repay a little bit of what he's been given by all of us he could have taken a two-year incentive laden deal. How about a little loyalty? If he comes back in the 2nd half of 08 hitting for another team in the same division it only magnifies things. Take your smug expressions and get out of town Cliff.
  13. why would he feel any obligation not to go to the team he feels he fits best? why is it classless to go elsewhere in the division? It's a slap in the face to the Cubs fans that idolized him. Take your smug expressions and get out of town Mark. was it a slap in the face when Fernando Vina left Milwaukee for St. Louis. Or Burnitz signed with the Cubs after years with the Brewers? seriously, FTH are you talking about? no one should ever sign with another team. Drafted by the Marlins? Too bad, sucker. Unless you get traded, that's ok.

Things Mark Prior has given Cubs fans and management 657 IP 757 Ks, 223 BBs, 3.51 ERA, 1.225 WHIP 123 ERA+ Going out and pitching through pain for what appears to have been the majority of his Cubs career. Some of the things Cubs fans and management have given Mark Prior Hilarious towel jokes Hilarious vagina jokes Hilarious ten cent head jokes Shameless abuse of his arm Scapegoating for the loss in '03 Insinuations of being a headcase Insinuations of being soft(not the word often used, but that one wouldn't pass the filter) Insinuations of being on steroids Insinuations of being a cocky, spoiled jerk Loyalty indeed. He's a high profile professional athlete. Do you think the treatment by 'that' segment of fans would have been different elsewhere? New York? Boston? Philly? LA? And it's not just big markets - I go to Brewer games and they're not exactly nice when a guy isn't performing. You're going to find fans that say and do things like that everywhere. I supported the guy until it became obvious he wasn't going to stick around. You call sports talk radio a lot, don't you?
  15. 245 k's and 50 bb's in 211 innings as a 22 year old. im gonna go cry in a corner real quick, nobody look at me
  16. It has? I'd like to see the source of this, as the few articles I've read that claim to prove this were so specious and riddled with flawed logic it's laughable. But you may be referring to a different study than the ones I've seen, in which case I'd be interested in seeing them. lol trust me hes right other things you should learn include 1. Runs Batted In (aka RBI) are useless. 2. Wins for pitchers are useless. 3. Managers are largely irrelevant 4. Meph is always right. 5. Catchers defense is relatively worthless. 6. Batting order does not matter 7. Error do not matter. 8. Meph is always right. 9. ERA for pitchers does not really matter. 10. Steals are relatively worthless. 11. Largely, clutch hitting does not exist. 12. There is no such thing as a pitching prospect. 13. There is no such thing as a toolsy prospect who does not walk. 14. Meph is always, always correct. There are others but those are a good start. Sorry, you lost me there. It's always important to win the turnover battle.
  17. I think this one. I clicked that and immediately fear a rickroll I need to be smarter
  18. He could support it but he doesn't feel like it. A luxury you have when you fool yourself into thinking you're smarter than you are is never having to prove you're right nor accept you're wrong - and if you come out looking like an idiot you don't have to care because you're a genius and they're the idiot, Jesus! Meph takes to the Bart Simpson "I can do that but I don't wanna!" school of proof. Wait what post is this attacking Meph wrote "Pie sucks, Ronny's better" or something. Oh, a simple "I disagree, here's why" would have probably worked out better.
  19. I hope he breaks his leg on the first play of the game
