  1. clearly, but when you're the laughingstock of the laughingstocks, it doesn't spell good things. You are really reaching here. Keep talking your sports trash on the internet. I'm sorry, there's this dumb feature on here that sometimes only allows me to read posts from fans whose teams have made the playoffs in the last decade. I keep pm'ing Tim to fix it, but he's busy. lolz That is pretty damn funny, even I have to admit. What's become of us? You like my jokes, I'm defending Eli Manning. What a crazy world.

(You don't even know your crappy team's history) Wait, I mean, I still can't read your posts.

We are? That's news to me. Well, you and the pirates. Which might even be a worse indictment of your franchise.

  9. and you are, as usual, trying to show everyone how big your e-penis is by getting under someone's skin. that act is old, really. but i guess if that gets you off, then have fun with it. no credit for homer picks! My e-penis? You're so weird. What are you going to complain about for the next few months until baseball season starts? Penn state basketball?
  10. most of the posts after the game on this board, and most of the talk on tv, was about eli manning and not the giants' defense. you're being stupid. Because it's obvious how good the defense was. What kind of story is that? I guess if it bugs you that much, you could have spent the last few hours talking about that instead of complaining about how terrible Eli Manning is and how sad you are that the Giants won.
  11. uh not really. i actually like the patriots, and i wouldn't mind hearing that talked about. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/2008-01-28-computer-projection_N.htm if you play that game 10 times, the pats probably win 8. today was the giants' day, but they're not as good as the patriots. much like the 2006 cards were not as good as a lot of the teams that they played. as for eli manning not being good, i guess if you ignore stuff like statistics then i can see how he'd be a good quarterback. and besides, at least i am willing to make a prediction. i'm guessing you thought the patriots would win too, but since you didn't say it, people can't really call you on it. Incredible analysis. The Patriots are the better team? How thin is that limb? Of course I thought the Patriots would win, I'm sure if you wanted to dig through 20 weeks worth of NFL threads you'd probably find me predicting them to win the Super Bowl in a walk. There's a difference, of course, between predicting a Patriots win and acting like no one in the NFL stood a chance against them. And there's a difference between saying "Eli had a good game" and saying that Eli is an elite quarterback, or whatever you're arguing against. You're just acting like a baby.
  12. Hey guys, the Giants held a historic offense to only 14 points in their Super Bowl win, only us hardcore, enlightened football fans will realize that they were the biggest key to the victory. Somebody call John Clayton and tell him that his services will no longer be needed.
  13. embarrassing myself? i'm not the one calling it one of the best super bowl performances in history. i'm not the one creaming himself over 17 points when their defense held the most prolific offense of all-time to just 14 points. if you want to talk about a great game, let's talk about the giants' front four and secondary, not eli manning. there's a difference between "creaming yourself over 17 points" and giving a man some credit. You'd think that after you just spent the last two months acting like no one could even touch the Patriots that you'd be willing to say a little "well done" instead of acting like a baby. what are you talking about? i said that he played fine. he made a few risky throws that didn't end up costing him; he also made some good plays. i certainly knew that another team could score 17 points on the patriots; i didn't think that a defense could hold them to only 14. i guess i shouldn't expect everyone to understand this, since it's a baseball board, but a lot of the time there are parts of a team, aside from the quarterback, that are the key to winning the game. First off, you can cut it out with the "you must not understand football as well as I do" stuff. If you want to lay claim to NSBB's greatest complainer, that's another story. If the Patriots won, you'd spend the next couple weeks talking about how annoying it is that we have to hear about them all day. Instead, the Giants won and it's instantly "Eli isn't good, you guys are wrong", "oh god tell the dolphins to shut up" "blah, blah, blah". Though, I guess I'd be pissed if I spent the last two months proclaiming the Patriots as the greatest team in NFL history, only to see them get beat by a QB that "is not good". Let's hear some more expert commentary from you.

  15. A quarterback, knocked for his entire career, caps off a great 6 week run with a win over one of the best teams in Super Bowl history in one of the better Super Bowls in the last decade, of course Truffle would spend the rest of his weekend complaining about it. That makes sense. Go do something fun, dude, you're embarrassing yourself.
  16. WOW. Just..... Heh, that's actually a pretty cool commercial.
  17. probably, which is too bad, because he's not good. He's not? 23 TDs to 20 INTs and a QB rating in the low 70s says he's not. Granted, his numbers aren't great, but having a team that led the league in drops doesn't help. and to be fair to manning, whom i don't like at all, he looked like a completely different qb in the last 5 or 6 games. We'll see if the transformation carries over to next year (for my sake, I hope not.)
  18. but then we'll have stuck up pieces of garbage from new england, and the miami guys will be dead sooner.
  19. he was trying to knock it out of bounds and instead pushed it forwards about 8 yards, they'll call that every time.
  20. a lot of people just lost a lot of money because of that run
  21. what happens in the pile stays in the pile
  22. Not his fault. Yeah...I thought it was poorly thrown, but upon second look I was wrong. Still, if he hits him in the chest with the pass, it's, at the worst, not a pick.
  23. Giants front four are doing really well
  24. That was a quick first quarter.
  25. agreed. jealousy of someone you will never, ever see or talk to just smells so, so bad.
