    It's really cool thinking of what we've learned as fans in the last decade. i remember joining this site only because i really liked the idea of a building a deep farm system and cubs.com was opposed to that idea for some ungodly reason. I only knew about batting average and RBIs. Three years ago I considered myself a smart fan, but i never would have properly valued the worth of these cost-controlled years.

    you should; with all these groan-worthy dumb ass comparisons being lazily thrown around, he actually profiles really well to be another Dee Gordon (if you like that kind of thing [i do]) lol when i was looking at his BBR page, i was looking at his walks and thinking they were his steals totals. something about a 53/20 ratio of sb/cs wasnt catching my eye.

    I read a Detroit guy saying that in his opinion, Rip vince cartered the pistons once dumars started running things into the ground. It would be hilarious (and scary for the league) if rip had a lot more gas than everyone thought.

    yeah, it looked unnatural. as a repeat ankle-sprainer, you hate to see knees and other joints bend in crazy ways, but you know it's a possibility. Knox' injury looked like a video game glitch.

    I heard the explanation once. It has something to do with them doing it by hand in the pre-internet days and it being easier for some reason. Since the league is 15 years old or whatever, they just grandfathered in the scoring when they switched to doing it online. It's basically just an extra 0, so I'm not sure how it makes it easier, but 250 points essentially equals 25 points. oh, man I'm glad I never played fantasy sports pre-internet. It's too much work online already. the football league seems doable since you set your lineup once a week, but listening to them describe their old baseball league is horrific. Imagine, if you can, free agent pickups via SNAILMAIL.

    I'm in the championship in my money league because I picked up Seattle's defense 10 minutes before noon. Seattle scored 250 points, my usual defense scored 70. I won by 176 points. Anyway, I don't have any roster questions this week. Just wanted to brag.
