Yeah, I don't see how Roy becomes a Bull. He'd have to be amnestied, and then all of the teams under the salary cap would have to pass on him at the minimum for Chicago to get him (of course, the bidding could go up from there if multiple teams end up wanting him). And if he does pass through all those teams, wouldn't that be a sign that he really has nothing left? He's retiring. Knees must be really bad. A few days ago, the word was that blazers brass had seen Roy work out and was not only not going to amnesty him, but they were excited about him being back to the old Roy. I wonder who floated that and why?

i remember how upset all those st. louis fans were when the albert signed a team friendly deal last time. PAY THE MAN WHAT HE'S WORTH, they demanded, but those scrooge mcdrunks in the front office held onto their money like misers. When the team traded for and signed matt holliday to a costly extension, they cried out, THAT SHOULD BE ALBERT'S MONEY, but those misers in the front office continued to make the team better.

this thread is hilarious. ian stewart is going to either be no good or average, and he's going to make like 3 mil and we traded hot garbage for him. He's going to be our starting 3B until we can get a better one, and his low cost won't be a detriment to sitting him down/cutting him/shooting him into the sun if an opportunity a better player presents himself. And if he rebounds we have him under team control for cheap! And if he doesn't, who cares, he makes the same amount theo epstein [expletive] out of his ass on a house.

I like it. Obviously we know how we feel about Colvin, and Lemahieu seemed like a guy we would wake up with in 4 years and be like "[expletive], he's still hitting 6 home runs a year."

You'll get nothing and like it. Seriously, though, why are you a Magic, Bears, Cubs fan? WHY OH WHY ARE THERE CUBS/MAGIC FANS? THAT'S JUST NOT NATURAL!! I'm a Dolphins/Cubs/Lakers fan. Don't think I've ever met another, though I do know another Lakers/Dolphins fan. Yeah, that's what happens when you're from the midwest and there are no teams within 10 hours of you. It's how I ended up a Cubs fan - im just not considered a bandwagoner because the cubs have sucked my whole life. What luck!

Why are people STILL saying this? West wasn't the GM in Memphis when the trade happened. And Memphis didn't get screwed at all. They were terrible and paying Pau a ton of money. By trading him, they got essentially got Mark Gasol, 3 first rounders, and 25 million in cap space in that deal, which led directly to them being the competitive team that they are now. I didn't say he was the gm, i said he was there. But maybe that's wrong too, i don't know. And I didn't say they got ripped off, it ended up being a good deal for them. I just knew he was talking about the Gasol thing.

Unless the Bulls win. You're right, I can't argue with the numbers. You know the ones like attendance, where mls has surpassed the NBA. Or ratings, where again the NBA trails the other big sports. The Lakers dominance by buying everyone else's stars is definitely great for casual fan interest. Oooookay? Eh it's prolly not that big of a deal, just pisses me off the Lakers always step in and snatch the big names from other teams for what amounts to crap. Not sure how people can find that super interesting. When have they actually done that? Just with Gasol, and that was a special case since Jerry West was in Memphis. I don't know, it's not great parity-wise but it's probably good for the game when the huge market teams are good.

The Lakers will pull it off, but CP3 and Kobe will all hurt themselves and miss 50 games apiece.
