  1. I don't take any solace in that it could have been worse. And I dont blame you. Off with his head! (Rusch that is, obviously) I just like to search for the silver lining. I think the silver lining is that he has proven himself to be a pretty good BP pitcher.
  2. you don't dig the long ball? Well, you'll get to see some good footage of the new bleachers.
  3. Actually, I think we should keep Rusch around a little longer.
  4. I could see a Rusch for Estes deal once Estes is off the DL.
  5. Still has a little work to do to equal Marshall's major league debut.
  6. I once saw Walt Terrell hit two HRs in the same game against some nameless Cub pitcher I wouldn't call Ferguson Jenkins a nameless Cubs pitcher. Maybe it happened twice. I wouldn't put it past the Cubs. Believe it or not I looked it up. Terrell did once off of Jenkins in 83. Then you're right, he was wrong.
  7. You'd rather give rusch more innings to do damage? Who said that? (besides you) Rusch has been more productive in the rotation than the pen. I asked, not said. He's doing awesome right now. Love that 9+ ERA in the rotation. Read the rest of my and you'll see my feelings on Rusch in the rotation or try and remember my posts in the past, how I wanted Williams over Rusch last year as well as Hill over Rusch at the end of last year. Trying to look intelligent by showing how poorly Rusch is doing, helps prove my point. Then look at his numbers as a starter compared to a reliever and you'll see what I'm talking about, instead of using stupid smilies. When did I run over your dog? lol! Rusch has been more productive as a starter than a reliever, but he's been most helpful to the team when he isn't playing.

  9. Wow, he actually did something useful. Good job.
  10. I'm calling a K for Rusch right here.
  11. It was almost last inning. It's time now.
  12. Well its the same thing now plus the Marlins. Doesn't seem overly "competitive" to me. Well, I look at the Marlins as a team that will compete for the W.S. every 3 or 4 years if they continue with their win and dump strategy. Oakland and Anahiem are in contention every year and Seattle and Texas are on the rise and have been playoff teams in the past. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think it would easily be the division with the most wins outside their division every year.
  13. I agree Tim. I don't know for how long Wright will be at 3rd though, but I'd say for the next five years he will be near the top. But his long- long term future is at 1st. I'm not sure why you say that. I've only seen him play 5-7 games, but he's looked good there when I've watched him. He certainly has the athleticism to play there (and then some). If you're talking when he's 35-40, I might agree, but that's around 12+ years from now. I agree with Tim. I've seen at least 10 games of him, and I think he is pretty good. Here is an excerpt from his ESPN scouting report: Baserunning & Defense As good as Wright is at the plate, he is just as solid in the field. He has great hands for third base and an above-average arm. He can field bunts cleanly, and he moves well to his right and left with his outstanding range. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/scouting?statsId=7382
  14. Well, I would like the Cubs to play the Rockies more often in place of the Astros, but I think your AL West is way too competitive. One or two playoff quality teams will get squeezed out every year.
  15. Anyone else starting to feel like the team pretty much has to bomb this year or Dusty is getting that extension? Yeah, pretty much.
  16. If I'm remembering correctly it was hitting 90-92 on the ESPN gun. I also him remember throwing a lot of pitches in the 86-88 range.
  17. If Dope can rebound from the injured foot he will be of high value. However, I never really thought of him as much of a 1st base prospect. I think he had over 20 errors there last year. Dope has DH written all over him. 20 errors at first base is absolutely terrible.
  18. Well, I would still take Ram because of injury concerns with Rolen. If both are healthy, I'd take Rolen.
  19. Rolen is a great player but his is finishing up his prime, and Ramirez is entering it. Ram all the way.
  20. Because we're only 3% done with the season. Has he gone this long without pissing people off before? It seems like him acting competent irritates some people more than anything else he's done.
  21. I entered and I'm not on the update list.
  22. If Albert Pujols were here Albert Pujols wouldn't care about what you said about Albert Pujols. Albert Pujols would just continue to be the most amazing, dazzling, dumbfound, extraordinary, towering, collossal, ridiculously talented and sexy baseball player since Babe Ruth, who isn't as good as Albert Pujols. Haha. It would be a lot funnier if Albert Pujols were here. His smile just lights up the room. http://www.uiowa.edu/~belinctr/classes/chess/ic/comp/Gabe/laugh_gal.jpg Heh heh heh heh heh heh!
