Why? They spent the 80's and 90's losing 5-6 games almost every year. They lost 3 or more in 4 of Saban's 5 seasons. In 111 seasons they've averaged 3.5 losses per season. History is irrelevant in the "what have you done for me lately" society we live in. From what I can gather from being around a decent number of serious LSU fans, their dislike of Les comes down to two things: 1) He can't beat Saban consistently, and 2) He can't recruit super stud QB's. From my vantage point, I think they should consider themselves lucky that they have a coach who has averaged 10 wins a year for 10 years in a row while playing in a difficult division. These people are morons. Didn't he recruit Ryan Perriloux? Brandon Harris was a 4*, Jennings was a 4*, Mettenberger was a 4*, Randall was a 4*. Zach Lee was a 4* before the Dodgers gave him F.U. money, Russell Shepherd was supposed to be awesome (what the hell happened to him?), Jordan Jefferson was probably a 4*, so was Jarrett Lee. The recruiting isn't an issue, maybe could argue the coaching. Still, 10-3 should be a fine season for basically any program. To average that over 11 years anywhere not named Alabama or Notre Dame should get you a statue and a lifetime contract.
