  1. Kosuke has raised his OPS to .852. That qualifies for 4th best for a CF in the entire major leagues. How stupid is this thread looking now?
  2. Well, this game sucked. On the bright side though, Milton had 4 hits and has raised his OPS to .803. After the start he had and all the media and talk radio ridicule he's faced in this town, that's very impressive. Let's hope he keeps it up in that 2 hole.
  3. It just gives Mclaughlin and Hrabowsky another reason to slobber all over Albert's junk.
  4. Some moran Cardinal fan fell over the railing going for a foul ball and messed up his neck/head.
  5. These Cardinals announcers are brutal. One of them just asked, "Where would the Cardinals be without Trevor Miller?" And of course Khalil Nutjob Greene ties the game. How damn aggravating that the Pirates are going to blow a game where they actually rough up Carpenter.
  6. Against right handers: Fukudome Bradley Lee Aram Soriano Soto Theriot Fontenot Pitcher Against left handers: Theriot Bradley Lee Aram Soriano Soto Johnson(When healthy) Baker or Blanco Pitcher
  7. Is he wearing a Cubs Believe Bracelet?
  8. LOL Dusty leaves in Harang to face Lee instead of: A.) Walking him to set up a double play. B.) Bringing in David Weathers to pitch to Derrek Lee.(Lee is 4-26 in his career off Weathers) I love playing against Dusty.
  9. Haren only has 8 wins. That means the voters think that pitchers like Jason Marquis and Jamie Moyer are more deserving.
  10. Wainwright's WHIP is just under 1.30. I'm shocked that his ERA is still so good.
  11. Playoff births are inconvenient, but still joyous and wonderful. LMAO! Outstanding.
  12. Harden has been outstanding in his first 3 second half starts. 19 IP 8 H 2 ER 2 BB 21 K. We have the pitching advantage in all 3 matchups. 2 of 3 would be great in this hellhole.
  13. Holy crap, Joe Torre managed an awful, awful game. And who the hell is positioning the Dodgers outfield? The idiots were playing shallow for Albert Freaking Pujols, the best hitter in the game. Ugh, I want those 5 hours of my life back.
  14. He doesnt qualify, but he will still get votes. LOL. Kind if like Edinson Volquez last year. You would think the voters might actually take a look at that before casting their votes. Just shows what a joke award voting is.
  15. What about Pablo Sandoval also? If he qualifies as a rookie, I'd say he's the runaway favorite, at least offensively.
  16. Looks like Colby's ROY run has hit a snag. He's down to .257/.309/.437. Anything that helps Randy Wells get some votes is okay by me.
  17. Has anybody seen this? http://wrigleyville23.com/2009/07/steve-stones-creepy-little-world.html Pathetic. Talk about being obsessed with a team and a player.
  18. I would have taken a steaming pile of crap in exchange for Fast Freddie, so I'd say getting Hart has been a decent bonus.
  19. Actually, the Cards series against the Dodgers coming up is at Busch. But your point still stands. They have 6 or 7 games at home against the Padres and Nationals.
  20. I could care less about his ego. The problem is that he's ten times the baseball announcer than anyone in the Cubs booth, both the TV and radio side. I don't want to be friends with him, I just want a quality baseball broadcast. The Cubs have arguably the best TV broadcast in baseball right now, while the Sox TV broadcast(which includes Stone) might be the worst. I know you hate the Cubs and don't think they do anything right, but ripping the TV broadcast is just stupid. Len and Bob are top notch.
  21. It feels especially good because just about every radio host has been ripping the Cubs all year for being mediocre, yet praising the White Sox for being, essentially, the same thing. This season is starting to look promising though. Let's hope the injuries subside a bit and the bats stay hot.
  22. Because we play in the worst division in baseball - that's how. The AL Central would probably have something to say about that. And the NL east besides Philly is mediocre to horrible.
  23. I'd be curious to see Gregg's numbers since that disaster appearance against the Astros on May 17th. I'm looking at you, Fred.
  24. Cubs on pace to leave 27 men on base and score 0 runs.
  25. Lou needs to pull a Ned Yost and platoon Harden/Marshall. Harden in road games and Marshall in home games. Yes, I'm kidding, but seriously, look at Harden's home numbers. They're awful.
