    Pudge >>>Barrett in '04 and we win the WC running away. To me, this was a critical move based on Barrett's awful D. You're saying the Cubs didn't win the WC in 2004 because of Michael Barrett's defense? Wow, of all the reasons one could come up with, you choose that one. Nevermind the fact that Barrett had an .826 OPS, his defense cost the cubs 3 games in the standings. Yea, whatever you say.

    Nice to finally see a real shut down outing for big Z. Hopefully he gets on a nice little run. Also, Thom Brenneman is just a godawful announcer, he might as well have had a Cardinals cheerleading uniform on during the 5th inning when he was cheering for Zambrano to blow up. What an ass.

    Well, looking at this optimistically, the Cubs were 12-7 at this point last year, and we all know how that ended, so maybe the opposite this year???

    They should just walk DeRosa to get to Cedeno.

    I'm starting to think Thom Brenneman hates Adam Dunn. Everytime Dunn gets 2 strikes, Brenneman makes it a point to tell the viewer how many strikeouts he has in how many AB's. After Dunn strikes out, Brenneman tells everyone how much of a problem his strikeouts are, in his snide, condescending voice.

May 29: White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen has a bit of a meltdown before a game against the Twins, submitting a lineup to the home-plate umpire with nothing but profanities and racial and homophobic slurs written in place of player names. July 18: David Ortiz comes through in the clutch again by pushing Manny Ramirez away a moment before Ramirez tries to lick the clubhouse stove. September 20: Instead of facing Albert Pujols with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning, Astros closer Brad Lidge just turns around and throws the ball over the left field fence. September 30: Manny Ramirez pulls teammate David Ortiz aside in the locker room, points at Daisuke Matsuzaka and asks: "Who is the funny-talking new guy?"

    It is just impossible to watch a nationally televised Twins game, especially with a clown like Brenneman. The number of tired old cliche's being used is just ridiculous.

    Hey Billy Packer, It's DON-OH-VAN, not DUNN-OH-VUN. I'm pretty sure he pronounces it wrong just so he can be different. God I hate him.

    Long Beach St. has a guard who's about 260 pounds, and has a beautiful shot. They're also creeping back into this game, but I still don't feel too good about putting them in the Sweet 16.

    Vitale's early final 4 teams are Florida, North Carolina, Ohio St., and UCLA. 3 one's and a two, really going out on a limb there, Dick.

    Boy, Illinois really got a favorable draw with Va Tech, couldn't have worked out better for them IMO. Also, Virginia should not have been seeded that high, but I doubt Albany can beat them, I kind of wish New Mexico St. was the 13 seed in that bracket because they have potential to be a cinderella, unfortunately not against Texas.

    I guess Arizona gets to stay in the AP poll no matter what-I was hoping IU would stay in even with their loss to Iowa because of the huge Wisconsin win, but I guess not. Arizona is the west coast Duke, they will never be ousted from the top 25.
