  1. Dan Klecko cut by the Eagles today. I wonder if the Bears will have interest w/ Dusty out for the year again.

    Week 22

I'm looking forward to the draft........
  3. That makes two of us. Let me know when you're going and we'll meet up. I'm about an hour and 1/2 away.
  4. I'll have to head down to Des Moines and check him out.
  5. Bears 27 - Packers 24 GOOOOOOOOO Bears!
  6. There would be a better chance of Davis clearing waivers as well. If so you can still stash him on the practice squad. Davis can't go on the practice squad, I don't believe. Only players with less than an accrued season of NFL experience can be on one and Davis has been around for 4 years. I did not know that. Thanks for teaching me something today! :D

  8. It was the first inning and Hawk was still asleep.
  9. I don't think that's fair. I don't think most people on here had given up on him. I shouldn't have used the words "given up on", but I remember when he was traded there wasn't the type of reaction you would expect from people who still thought he was a potential stud. i think everyone on here was basically resigned to him being moved because of the outfield logjam. lou never really gave him a fair shake you know. The way he was treated still irritates me. With the other bats in the line-up Pie should have been allowed to play everyday in CF and work out his issues at the plate. I'm just glad he's getting a chance w/ a team and thankfully it's an AL team.
  10. I think Knox will make the team. He's had some great moments in the preseason.
  11. The Bears don't lose Super Bowls to the Patriots.

    Week 22

I hate missing the playoffs because other people wouldn't overpay you. I blame everyone else in the league for my demise. I can't be blamed. I sucked this year.
  13. To be fair, on the postgame NBC show, they gave Rodney Harrison a lengthy spot of airtime which he used to pretty much thoroughly trash the Broncos for how they dealt with the Cutler situation. Collinsworth did that a bit in the 2nd half of the game as well. I actually agree with most of what Harrison and Collinsworth said about the trade. From the Broncos standpoint you just can't afford to trade someone as talented as Cutler. Suspending him ala Brandon Marshall is one thing, but does it really matter how many position players you get back for him in trade? All the "experts" seem to agree that filling the QB position as opposed to positional players is much more difficult.
  14. Jake Fox should be the starting catcher.
  15. This is my first chance to see Cutler and, man, am I impressed. He seemed a bit uneasy to start, but the offense is clicking. More importantly the defense looks good too. I'm looking forward to opening night against GB!
  16. Same here. I'm actually excited for a preseason game.
  17. Glad you're okay. Doesn't look pretty!
  18. I'm in agreement with everyone that says sit him down. Play Fox and see what he can do everyday.
  19. An owner of Kazmir in this league would have received better compensation then TB did.
  20. And it's not as if the Rays are out of contention. Why make this deal unless you're getting an unbelievable package in return?
  21. If this trade is made..............shame on you Rays. That's a horrible return for Kazmir.
  22. And to think it was that easy.............. I hope he turns in a HOF career. I loved watching the guy in the minors and I think he really received a raw deal in the majors with the Cubs. The kid can flat out hit. That's taking it waaaaaaay too far. I'm sure the Orioles and their fans would be happy with "serviceable". I said I was hoping he'd have a HOF career.

  24. Glad the Happ/Marquis deal is working for both of us. In hindsight it was a bad trade for me, since Happ remained in the Phillies' rotation and he still has his exemptions. But at the time there was talk that he'd be odd man out when Martinez was activated. I've since picked up Norris and Richmond, both of whom have exemptions, so that eases the sting a bit. It was worth the gamble. I'm just glad I added a quality exempt player.
  25. I can see the Onion article now. LaRussa charged with drug trafficking Caught smuggling large amount of pixie dust across statelines LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL You really have a bad obsession with me.
