  1. I think the big difference will be the content on 312Sports.com. We've put a great deal of effort into opening up avenues w/ the teams and with our media credentials we'll be able to provide a great deal of information to the fan base that visits 312.
  2. First week of NSBB press credentials at the U of I this weekend...........wow, was that a bad showing on Homecoming.
  3. I'm not a violent person.
  4. Chuck Bryan is cbbryan here at nsbb. I've been working with him to get the NSBB Radio portion of the site launched. I take it you don't head to the front page very often. :) Hello and nice to meet you! :D
  5. Milton Bradley needs to seek professional help. Yesterday!
  6. Seriously? I know they have their weaknesses, but I think they're a solid team.
  7. I love Sandberg, but he shouldn't replace Lou. Trammell should replace Lou, but Ryno could be his bench coach if they like.
  8. This is not an option for me. I watch different teams through out the year, but don't have a rooting interest. I root more for individual players on other teams when they're not playing the Cubs. I'd never consider switching teams.
  9. I brought DLee up in my recent podcast. He's having a great year and if the injury has finally healed completely you have to believe he'll be very productive for at least 2 more seasons. He's a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season.
  10. There should be interest in Sheets, but only w/ an incentive laden deal. A Sheets deal shouldn't have to include trading/dumping any salary.
  11. I don't think it's a case of agreeing with you or not. The point is that with the contractual obligations the Cubs have that can't be traded it doesn't make sense for them to try and rebuild. It's a bit too late at this point w/ contracts for Soriano, Dempster, Bradley, etc. to decide to pull the plug and rebuild. Furthermore, when you're in a city like Chicago you cannot just "rebuild." It's a different animal then running a team in Kansas City or Miami where no fans show up anyway.
  12. As bad as the Bears have played they're only down 8 and receive the 2nd half kick off. They need to get it together though.
  13. You can crap in one hand a wish in the other and see which one gets filled up faster. This team will always have injuries to contend with, especially with guys on the wrong side of 30. That's the thing, Hendry plans for the best and hopes the worst doesn't happen. He should plan for the worst and hope the best happens. They were healthy last year w/ practically the same team and had a great record. They looked like the team to beat. Injuries have derailed this season as well as under performance from some key players.........this doesn't mean the team isn't set-up to win/compete now.
  14. Any other info on this duo from Boston? Also, check your PMs. They work together on a Saturday morning "all sports" show in the Boston area. We'll actually have three podcasters from the same radio station. There's one more guy in Philly that looks like he'll be coming aboard as well and a gentleman from the Bay Area (Oakland, I believe). It will probably be the end of next week before we're in full mode, but these guys are working as quickly as they can around their schedules to submit podcasts. In fact, a couple have contacted me today and expect to have new content to me this evening. ....Check your PMs! :D
  15. Green's a great color. Not with Yellow. That's a very good point!
  16. The Cubs would have to get more than prospects back for Z. This team is set-up to compete now and trading major parts doesn't seem to make much sense. You never know with new ownership.
  17. Yes they do, just not from the late 80's early 90's when they were mass produced. And some of the rips on cards today are insane. There's some really high end stuff out there.
  18. FYI, a duo from Boston have committed to join the podcast team and will have new content available the beginning of next week.
  19. I didn't see this posted anywhere: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4465181
  20. Thank you for the offer. We'll certainly keep that in mind!
  21. Completely agree ... the overtime system heavily favors the team that won the coin toss. It's not fair. This isn't college, thisn't is high school, this is the NFL. The Titans had 60 minutes to win the game and they didn't. Just because they didn't win the coin toss, or stop the Steelers when the needed too doesnt mean it's unfair. I truly doubt you'll hear any Titan player complain about th OT rules being unfair. The Titans didn't stop the Steelers in OT and that is ON them, an not the OT rules. The OT rules are fine. Let me ask you this. Are you denying that the coin toss is a factor in determining the winner? The opening coin toss is a factor in determing the winner of any game. This is a very stupid topic that needs to stop being discussed. The people who cry about OT rules every damn time a game goes to OT refuse to acknowledge the simple fact that both teams had 60 minutes to score more than their opponent and that none of their proposals are realistic or better. Football is a long freaking game. The 1:00 games end after 4, the night time games end after midnight on the east coast. Insisting on both teams touching the ball is freaking stupid. They had their chance. Nobody is getting screwed over, nobody is being robbed of anything. And in the case last night, the Titans should have beaten them but didn't come through when they needed to. OT coin flip should have never taken place.
  22. True story! And John Manuel is a very nice guy for anyone wondering.
  23. Thank you! We're excited to be able to put something like this together. There is more talent that will be sending podcasts through-out the weekend and we'll be uploading them as soon as we receive them. In total, we've recruited around 8 different people that will providing podcasts every week until the end of the season. That's not counting the phone calls w/ talent today and next week that we've had preliminary talks with, but they have not committed to come aboard yet.
