    Boy do I hope UCLA meets Texas in the tourney. EJ, UMFan...bring it. UCLA @ Michigan Saturday morning. No thanks, you already had your chance ;-). If it does happen I hope it happens in the final four so we can have the home court advantage this time. Not to mention I will make the trip down their to watch.

    It has nothing to do with the need to, has to do with the potential suck out every little penny possible. Just be thankful Zell wants nothing to do with the team whatsoever. He simply could careless. Which is probably why he is floating the idea of naming rights. It could be entirely possible that the prospective new owners are in full support of this idea; Zell sells the naming rights, takes the heat and the new owners get the added revenue without any backlash. It also boosts the value of the team prior to sell. I do believe Zell has only his best interest in mind, not what the potential owners best interest is.

    If Gerrard can pull out another miracle he will be close to Sainthood.

    Texas is playing at Michigan St. tomorrow. If they can pull off wins at UCLA and Michigan St that will really help in the long run towards getting a #1 seed.

    I am almost positive I saw him play last year in AA, and he has gained a lot of weight.

    That's realistic. I don't think we have what it would take to get Bedard unfortunately. And yes, I'd rather see Bedard here over Roberts. I hope the Reds don't get Bedard. That would really, really suck. That would mostly really really suck for Bedard. I think they will give up too much to get him should it happen. Why? It would be several steps up from Baltimore. Really crappy to pretty crappy, both with no real shot at post season. He would just be riding it out till FA either way. Plus Cinci would be giving up maybe Bailey and Votto in the process, I don't think that really makes them any better. Then there is the Baker factor. The bright side for him is that he would look better in the NL Central for pilling up stats before FA.

    Pieces are slowing starting to fall into place.

    I would say the biggest reason why he decided to go back to single A is the fact that Lou Pinellas contract ends rather soon, and he knows by showing loyalty, and putting in his time, it will result in him being an actual candidate to replace Lou. Wasn't that the feedback he had received when he interviewed?

    I can't wait for the National Team to go back to Frisco for a game against anyone. Hopefully a few European countries will stop by in prep for Euro.

    I can't wait for this whole thing to be over with. This seems to be going on twice as long as the whole Fukudome thing.

    Jim Hendry will tell you it makes our team a lot better, because it gives us depth with DeRosa able to play 2B, RF, maybe SS, 1B, 3B with a decent OPS when others need a day off. If Derosa could just play an avg. at best everyday SS things would be great.

    What was best for ARod was getting out of NY. Boras could have gotten him that. But Alex did end up with as big a contract as anybody could have realistically imagined. What was best for Arod was going where he and his family wanted to go. Boras thought he could have gotten more money that was not there and didn't listen to Arod's input. The fact is Arod didn't want to leave NY despite what we think is best for him. Boras didn't listen and continued his renegade agent style.

    Crawford played a lot of football though which would help that area. As a pure athlete Crawford has Pie beat by a wide margin.
