  1. What did you expect? Indiana got into a bowl game by the skin of their teeth in a year where the Big Twelve was an embarrassment. A team like Vanderbilt didn't qualify for a bowl because they played a tougher schedule but are probably a better team. OSU is much like Vandy in that they had a tough schedule. Indiana getting drilled was predictable. Next year they'll fade back into Big Ten football obscurity with like their normal 4-7 or 3-8 record. I'll take that bet. I agree that this game was an easy mark. IU was fortunate to be where they were and accomplished their goal of playing in a bowl game. You obviously have no idea what their schedule looks like next year. No reason to not expect them to be in another bowl next season based on their schedule. Please note that I didn't say they would be a great team, but you don't have to be to make a bowl. They will easily win more than 4 games next year. okay maybe 5 wins. What did you expect? If the Big 12 was an embarrassment, why was Oklahoma St.'s schedule tough? The Big 12 was much better than any one gave them credit for, and I would put it ahead of the Pac 10 top to bottom. I meant Big 10, sorry. OSU had trips to Georgia and Troy (who isn't all that bad). Also played FAU in their non conference. Ok, gotcha.

  3. Oklahoma State was better than the 6-6 record they posted this year.
  4. I knew Vince Young was bad, but I just didn't realize he was that bad. I'll never understand why they put him on the Madden cover. Should be obvious why... Seems like the first choices should have been (and might have been) LT, Brees, or Manning. The silhouetted cover that EA released a few weeks before they announced who it was looked alot like Brees to me: Next year it is going to have to be Tom Brady or Randy Moss. Although if either of them pass on it, it'd be cool if it was Brett Favre...sort of as a goodbye or something. If he really is retiring then it would break the Madden curse. I'm pretty sure LT declined to be on there, and Manning is ineligible to be on there (he signed a deal with a minor company a couple of years ago). Young was more marketable than Brees in August, although anyone could have known he'd probably be terrible this year. The AFC South finishes as the best division in the history of the NFL by winning percentage (42-22 overall, a .656 winning percentage). I never would have expected that at the beginning of the season, and I'm guessing they'll regress significantly next year, but it's been quite the year for the division. As long as its not Romo I'll be happy. He already has enough to deal with.
  5. I think you would still be able to get some pretty good tickets. I haven't been hearing anything about it though. This has the potential to be a very good game, and one I would not be suprised to see Mizzou lose. I've found a few on Ebay I like and there are also some on craigslist. I just can't get the ok from the missus. Root for McFadden or die. :D

Does your backup plan consist of watching the game at BabyDolls?

  8. He is flat out amazing.
  9. Ugly weather in Washington, hope no one gets hurt.
  10. The Bears are absolutely determined to give the Saints 3 points before the half.
  11. I would take McFadden 11 times out of 10 over Smith. I think Smith will make for a decent NFL back with his size and speed, but right now he is not even a lock for a 1st round pick. Not to mention he has not even proven he can really catch the ball out of the backfield.
  12. Not bad for a 7th round pick with 251 guys taken ahead of him. Considering his importance compared to Reggie Bush's at a fraction of the cost.
  13. I'll take Michigan for uni's. Notre Dame has good one's on days they don't wear these: http://www.pe.com/imagesdaily/2007/10-21/usc_notre_dame_football_4_400.jpg
  14. have to deal with a lot of New Englanders in your day to day life in Indiana/Chicago? Thank god its not new York. I always some what liked the Sox, and Patriots. Not going to stop now. Of course should the Cowboys get a rematch in the playoffs I hope Brady and Moss get pounded.
  15. I'm not sure I would like this if I was a UCLA fan.
  16. Ant Tottenham beat Reading 6-4 in a game that saw 8 second half goals. Need to check tivo to see if they will be showing a replay of that. Hopefully that will be the fanzone game of the week .
  17. Phil O'Donnell, Captain of Motherwell passed away today on the field. Unsure as to the cause, but he collapsed just as he was being replaced as a sub. Very sad, no initial cause of death. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=494435&cc=5901
  18. The NBA is full of pansies. Seriously your a so called professional athlete, you hadn't played a single minute the entire game and come the last minute your not loose? What in the hell are you waiting for, overtime? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3171362
  19. Heard something about Mallett maybe looking into a transfer after the bowl game as he may not really fit into Rod's offense scheme. If that happened he better find a way to get Terrelle Pryor to Ann Arbor.
  20. And, those who took the over just won. see? too bad i don't gamble I just opened a bodog account :P I figure if I'm going to sit on my butt and watch games on new years day, most of which I really don't care a lot about, I might as well make it interesting. Of course when I saw that BC was only favored by 5 over a short handed MSU, I took that bet too (and I'm probably not even going to watch that game)....I think I have a problem. hmmm, do you know what is the minimum deposit is?
  21. And Texas is doing everything they can to keep ASU in the game. I think Texas has done more to keep ASU in the game. For the most part they have dominated every aspect of the game. Score line could and probably should be a little worse.
  22. I was fixing to say I am not sure if he can make it the whole game the way he is being hit.
  23. On that replay they showed the reverse angle. I slow mo'd it about 15 times and couldn't tell if he touched it. I don't think he did, and have no clue to how they reversed the call to say he did. I don't like the call, but I hate the fact they were ever in the position to have the call to begin with so therefore I will not complain about it.
  24. Texas trying to give me Bartman flashbacks, and to make it worse he didn't even touch the ball. However he should have never been their to begin with. Time for someone to fill out transfer papers.
  25. If Gerrard can pull out another miracle he will be close to Sainthood. Well two of his miracle's resulted in one trophy, but your probably right. Miracle #1 Miracle #2 never happens without #1 Miracle #3 I forgot just how good the 2005 Milan were. That games should have never happened which is why I loved it even more.
