  1. Great game by Kansas tonight. They have a lot to be proud of this season.
  2. They might've, doesn't really matter as long as there's enough people on the line though. They did and 4 of them were on the line.
  3. At least Reesing is not choking like Eli under pressure.
  4. I am very impressed with Kansas right now.
  5. Kansas has had a very good defense for the past 5 years. The offense until this season is why they always lost so many games. 7 games this year giving up 14 points or less. Not to mention they put up 76 on Nebraska this year.
  6. Georgia will be a preseason top 5...guarantee it. Georgia/Texas was my debate for the final spot. With Texas losing Jammal Charles I would now drop them out of the top 5. He shouldn't be going either.
  7. I like Nessler, but Musberger is terrible. I don't know why or how he's still on ABC's 'A' team. Herbstreit should really be with Nessler because I think that would be a great booth. Nessler is stuck with two buffoons in Griese and Maguire. Just put those idiots with Musberger and make that your new west-coast team instead of having Dan Fouts as your west-coast play-by-play man. Fox could easily be doing a better job with the BCS, but I don't really care for ABC's coverage either. I just like Musberger. I don't care if he's terrible technically or whatever, I've been listening to his voice for decades and it feels comfortable to me when he's calling the game. I miss Keith Jackson.
  8. I think it is a loss that goes 100% on the coaches head. I do wonder if they won if R.R accepts the Michigan job.
  9. Noel Divine is just fun.
  10. And dont forget...its half way through the third quarter. With my luck this bowl season theres going to be two more touchdowns, leaving the total score at 63, meaning if they would have just gone for the kick, I would have pushed. Not to mention that I placed the bet lastnight when the line was at 64 and now its dropped to 62. And now I'm breathing easy. The National Council on Problem Gambling Its only a problem when you lose!

Hearing the bookie's guys call about collecting the money was funny as hell. I really had no clue people outside of movies talked like they did.
  12. Right now I wish West Virginia was playing LSU next week. Oh well, shows the importance of wins and losses I guess.
  13. I'll be very happy if both Seattle and Tampa Bay win, and all of your picks for that matter. The second week of the AFC would be outstanding.
  14. If WV played with this much effort a couple of weeks ago they would be playing next week and not tonight. Does Noel Divine ever return punts?
  15. This kinda hurts your argument. I don't exactly what you're trying to say here. Are you saying that we should put more stock into Ws and Ls because they play less games? Because that's what you are suggesting. You're right every single game matters. But that's why Wins and Losses need to be factored out. Looking at Ws and Ls classifies everything as black or white when each game is a shade of grey. Looking at everything (ie score, schedule, margin of victory, etc) tries to then put a correct shade on the game. If a team outgains another by 400 yards and loses they probably lost because of a fumble by Mike Hart (heh). I'm sorry, but this makes no sense. The single point of even playing the game is to determine a winner and a loser, regardless of how you reach that point. This is the single reason for even playing sports. I understand what you are saying about factoring in score and schedule and agree with you, but the base line for any determining factor is wins and losses.
  16. I can't believe how long they have been able to do this. I love watching them play and I can't wait for ESPN to get hockey back so I can see them more often. I hate them almost as much as I hate how much the Blackhawks have sucked this decade. I Red Wings make me want to hate hockey.
  17. I just hope the game is half as good as last year's Boise St.-OU game. That was one of the greatest games ever.
  18. Agreed, Oklahoma seems like the no-doubter. Florida should be top-5. USC is not exactly going to be sucking it up next season either. They only have about 12 5-Star QB's to choose from. Texas will be much improved with their very young defense having a year of experience, and does Mizzou really lose anyone. I can't see any real scenario with Chase Daniel's leaving. Mizzou will be top 5 - 7, IMO. If Daniels leaves he's a moran. EDIT: Supposedly Notre Dame's newcomers will be top-notch. Now they just need a coach. :P I'd say there's maybe 1% chance Daniel leaves. If he left he would definitely be a moran. Maybe they can help lead ND to 5 wins next season :-) I would love to somehow see Texas Tech land Julio Jones since Rivals still has them listed with no solid verbals. Him along side Michael Crabtree in that Tech offense would be one of the most fun in the nation to watch for the next couple of years. I'm not a big Tech fan, but considering what they do without the major recruits of the other schools. Landing someone like him would be big for them. If he wants the ball he will get the ball at Tech.

  20. Right now I would probably consider OU the preseason #1 team. And I really hate saying that.
  21. Congrats to Henne and Hart.
  22. Great onside kick by Texas Tech to begin the 2nd half.
  23. The Florida Gators are obviously the best team in the country. Oh wait...
  24. Coming from an extemely casual hockey fan, that is quite an understatement. I've found myself watching this much more than the football games. Snowing Outdoor Hockey is a beautiful thing.
